The Red Hill Nest

We loved our stay at The Red Hill Nest farm. The cottage was just like the pictures, new, spotless and overlooked a great country view. The owners went out of their way to make our stay just right, flowers on the table, in the kitchen a bottle of wine, eggs from their own free range chickens, muesli, sour dough bread, etc. We enjoyed chatting with them as they were so warm and friendly. We were greeted by two very friendly dogs. One was a Kelpie puppy who was quite a character and would chases the butterflies and stalk the cows. Throughly enjoyed our country stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Red Hill Nest. The pre-arrival attention from Annika made us feel very welcome and we especially loved the breakfast and cheese hampers that were included. The cottage is well appointed and nicely decorated. Host communication was always prompt and friendly. We were quite busy during our stay but could have just as easily spent our days relaxing at the cottage. I would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet weekend away in the country.

Perfect for my husband’s hobby of photographing the moon and stars, plenty of spots to set up his telescope and all his gear. Great for me to relax and do my own thing and enjoy that bottle of bubbly!The cottage was just divine, so modern with every facility and great attention to detail, especially the yummy food hamper and our choice of bread and milk. And that delicious bacon and local farm eggs! Loved taking in the beautiful views from the verandah and the surrounds, those wonderful trees framing the countryside and the rolling hills.

We really enjoyed our country escape at Red Hill Nest!We stayed here over the Christmas break with our 3yo and could not have been more happy with our choice of accomodation. Annika and Dan have been really friendly and non intrusive during our stay at the cottage, even though they live right next door. What I love about the cottage was how immaculately clean the place was when we arrived! And some food was provided if we ever got hungry, which I found the gesture really thoughtful: eggs (from the chicken coop not far away from the cottage), bacon and a loaf bread to name a few.We also have had the opportunity to see cows and sheep up close, just right outside the cottage. It was the perfect and peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. We enjoyed every minute of it and will definitely be back for a much longer stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A lovely place to take time out - sit by the fire pit, stargaze, and appreciate the country scenery and fresh air. We would gladly return.

Had an incredible weekend stay with my two girls. Annika and Dan have created a beautiful space at The Red Hill Nest - secluded, peaceful, clean and stylish. We entertained ourselves in the surrounding area at the Mayfield Gardens and then did some gold panning (Hill End) and glow worms (near Lithgow). Would recommend to anyone wanting to get out of the city hustle and find your inner sanctuary.

Absolutely gorgeous! Peaceful location. Fantastic for children. Beautiful cottage kept extremely clean. Welcome breakfast pack was lovely. Only an hr away from the Blue Mountains. Great central location for local site seeing.We will definitely be returning.

Such a beautifully appointed cottage. All fixtures, amenities and appliances were first class. We loved spending time on our first night at the fire pit roasting our marshmallows. Annika was kind enough to supply eggs from their own chickens, as well as sourdough bread, gluten free cereal, milk and other staples like olive oil, salt, pepper etc. We cannot fault this place in any way. We are referring Red Hill Nest to anyone who will listen. We will definitely be back. The hosts are very kind and generous.The master bedroom was luxurious and romantic. Beautiful quality linen.

Beautiful location and lovely host. The area has absolutely stunning rural views and the fire pit was delightful. The accomodation was perfectly suited for 4 adults and is beautifully designed and decorated. I felt very comfortable at the location and I would 100% stay again.
