The Tasman, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Hobart

Our experience was world class and our room was one of the best we have ever stayed in. Top floor ocean facing would be my recommendation. You feel like you can see all of Hobart.The in-house restaurant is a fine choice for dinner. We had the market fish and homemade gnocchi.Then step next door into their cheeky cocktail lounge. Seek out Jenny at the bar and brace yourself for good banter, delicious popcorn, high quality cocktails and a fun moody atmosphere.

We stayed at the Tasman for a week in March and were impressed by the warm, contemporary design which integrates the heritage of the building, as well as the warm and professional staff.In particular, a big thanks to Imogen, who went out of her way to help us to replace a flat tire on our rental car. The tire became flat while parked overnight through the hotel's valet parking service and, upon becoming aware of this, Imogen generously and willingly volunteered to replace the flat tire herself, working with the hotel's engineering team. This saved us a huge amount of time that we would have otherwise spent waiting for roadside assistance. Imogen is a credit to the hotel and is up there with the best hotel concierges around the world in terms of her professionalism and dedication to guests' needs.If we are back in Hobart, we would definitely return to The Tasman!

One of the most special hotel experiences I've had thanks to the team. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are accomodating and the restaurant is fantastic. I would never stay anywhere else.

The nicest Luxury Collection property we have stayed at. We are Marriott Titanium members and have stayed at many hotels around the world, including the likes of the Al Maha in Dubai.The Tasman in Hobart is much better!The rooms are just lovely!We stayed at one of the heritage suites and it was exquisite - very charming and super comfortable.The breakfast was just perfect!The staff was super friendly and helpful. The general manger went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.The hotel’s location is is also the best in town.

We came down to visit the Australian Wooden boat festival and wanted something near constitution dock that was beautiful and effortless.The Tasman is that place and much much more. Pictures and words Don't do it justice this perfectly designed hotel with its stunning rooms with large bathrooms, beautiful interiors and joinery.With A beautiful high Tea lounge and cocktail bar, secret wine cellar and wine tasting a must book.Peppina outstanding restaurant and Mary Mary's wine bar is all enough to satisfy your requirements but the service from all the staff is fantastic and brings this hotel to much higher standard than they let on.Well done.Can't wait to go back.

Perfect experience and excellent checkin service, as Australia's first Luxury Collection hotel completely exceeded my expectations. I loved the style of the room and the hotel pays great attention to details. Keep it up, I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Hobart.

Beautiful new hotel. Very clean. Staff were wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Even came out to help me with my bags from the taxi and serve me a warm totti on check in. Breakfast was spot on, eggs cooked beautifully and everything on the buffet was immaculately presented, lots of selections. You won’t go hungry. Great location. One of the best places to stay in Hobart, would definitely come back.

Hotel is in great location door step to Salamanca market, and Hobart waterfront. The staff are extremely friendly, amazing service experiences started from check in to check out (very personal and very welcoming). We booked the heritage studio suite. The room is beautiful, spacious, has beautiful original sandstone wall inside the room. The hotel has great characters mixed between old historical buildings, modern design and touch of luxury. Breakfast has great quality dishes and great selections. Ordered dinner from room service menu, very tasty, and great flavour. Thank you so much for the welcome bottle of local wine and local chocolate in the room, much appreciated. We will definitely come back to stay again and try other di types of suite next time. We booked two days before our stay therefore, there are not much choice left in terms of room types available.
