Sandbar Cafe Caloundra
Very friendly service and nice place. Tried fish chips and calamari.Chips were great! As was the calamari, though seasoning was a bit much for my taste. However the fish, in this instance whilst ok, was not the best, dry is my best description.

Sandbar Cafe Caloundra
Every month we usually pop down as a family unit for a walk and some lunch here. Always been impressed with the fish, crunchy batter and always flavoursome, meaty cod. Kids portion is ample in feeding the two little ones so great for a tasty, budget feed. Fish today was even better than usual and a very short wait. We’ll be back soon!

Sandbar Cafe Caloundra
Always good food. The vegetarian burger is particularly good. I love to pick up some take away and eat it at the tables across the road. From there, it is relaxing to watch the sun set over Caloundra, with the Glass House mountains in the background. Across the water is Bribie Island. Just a great place to relax at the end of a busy week.

We were there today with a group of 7 for lunch at the Cellars section. Great service, really great staff, timely service and spot on food. I would have given a 5 star if the toilets were refurbished. Ps The oysters and scallops were A1.

Absolute horrendous fish and chips, used to be great our favorite! Maybe it was a bad day but was absolutely shocking! Terrible service, waited for over an hour, fish was still frozen inside, chips soggy, calamari was rubber with horrible seasoning. Won’t be going here again

I can't give you a review on the food, because the 3 times my family has visited this shop, we've had to ask for a refund because the of the wait times. Its not even busy when you go there, makes no sense. Very disappointing.

Okay picture this, it is new year's eve, everyone is out to spend money and have a good time. We are sitting and waiting for our delicious fish and chips to celebrate our last night of 2022. Unfortunately as time ticks away on the year our friends at sand bar decide to over promise and under deliver. It will be an hour wait, two underpaid staff tell prospective customers, oh too long, no worries mate, see you next year. Bye bye dollars out the door. Our hour wait turned into an hour 25, oops sorry. Fish was good. chips, not bad. But an hour wait. Dear owner, if you would like to improve your retirement plans, dig deep, add some staff and get people to wait 30min instead of 90 and you would have made at least 10 more sales in the 20min we waited. Look you may have pooped the bed this time, but I believe in you. See you next year.

Benedict eggs very disappointing. Bacon burnt mostly inedible, skimped on sauce, the tomato was one slice for $4 extra. Tomatoes are not that expensive. The other meal Superfood bowl (basically a muesli) was dry with no yoghurt. Add 2 coffees ( they were ok), slow service all for $50 won’t get us back again.
