No frills, just cuts. Unpretentiously friendly (also super affordable), he did mention that he only does ladies cuts (despite the fact that I have super short hair) when he's not busy though - glad he wasn't busy when I went in. Will hopefully be returning and will definitely be recommending.

Been coming to Arthur's for years. No need for an appointment and only $15. The atmosphere in here is like stepping back in time. I'm not that chatty so appreciate that Arthur isn't either......unless I start asking him about his pictures on his walls and then he lights up.

Arthur's is a classic old school establishment. He takes his time and you can really feel a sense of craft and pride in the way he goes about his work. None of this quick cuts" chain style stuff where it's in and out in 5 minutes.He's a quiet man of few words but enough to understand the haircut I want. I myself like to relax while I get a haircut - by not having to say too much

I just found this place after moving to the area. It's a step back in time with things from the 50s to the 90s and nothing newer, including the prices. Arthur is a no nonsense guy, who doesn't say much but it's a refreshing change to all the silly conversation you'd normally get. He gave me the best hair cut I've had in years and for $15 (standard men's prices). I've tried lots of cheap places but Arthur does a wonderful job. I've paid more and received no better at other fancy places either. If you're looking for an old school barber shop, this place is perfect. Arthur's being cutting hair for longer than some of his customers have been alive. It's the cheapest haircut you'll find along Chapel Street.

Very cheap but still good. The Greek gentleman who did my hair didn't talk much and was concentrated on his work. The interior is pretty sad honestly, with faded 60s or 70s posters on the walls. You go in for a haircut and that's exactly what you get. No bells and whistles, and that's a good thing in my opinion.
