Pykes Creek Reservoir
An easy drive down the Western hwy. Pykes is not a huge lake but not far from north/west suburbs and a good place to take the boat or jet ski for a spin also has some good protected family swimming areas with shade, toilets and picnic areas. Boat ramp can get a little busy at times.

Swimming, fishing not recommended by authorities due to poor water quality.Can go on motored or unmotored boat.

Pykes Creek Reservoir
Lots of speeding jet skis blasting out hip-hop music and petrol fumes means this reservoir is a poor option for swimming. There is also no walking path around the reservoir.

A lovely reservoir reserve, beautiful body of water, and a great spot for a picnic. 4 stars because of noise drift from the freeway and no fishing permitted ;)

Good place for watersports, would be even better if the powers to be who look after the reservoir would do something about the banks and get rid of the rocks and lay some sand so it easier for people to get in and out of their water craft and also save damage to water crafts.This is the only downside to this reservoir all the rocks.

Great scenery but no effort toake the concrete boat rp more people friendle, it could use a small pier, boardwalk and pontoon to make retrieving your boats easier. Also need some rubbish bins as litter is just dropped anywhere as there are no bins available. The Council has fallen short in this area.

GPS location is wrong, it takes you in the middle of the freeway. Better target the playground or the boat ramp.

Nice and secluded place to sit and relax. Please note there is board saying no fishing allowed!
