Have been watching the bakery prepare to open for weeks so I was excited to actually get in and purchase something.The sourdough loaves are amazing. Full of flavour with a texture that is what you want from a real sourdough.Have also tried the caraway roll, the milk buns and their almond cake slice, all of which were superb

Highly recommend!! So delicious and the staff are so friendly and welcoming.Sour doughs are perfection! And recently tired this goats cheese, horseradish and cucumber roll which was delish!!

Was longing to go there as I miss my German bakeries over here so much. And my expectations were fully met . The peach cobbler was awesome and then to find a treat like the chive pretzel which you only get in certain areas and seasons in Germany itself have me a Heimat feeling. Always coming back..also sandwiches with ham and mustard just so good.!! You guys rock! Keep going

I have tried all the products made from this bakery, none of them disappoint! They are extremely consistent! The pretzels are 11/10 and will keep you coming back, definitely worth a visit! Super kind and friendly staff that also make great coffee!

I drove past recently and noticed all these great reviews, decided to try Butterken this morning and could not agree more! Pretzels (we had a butter one and sourcream with chives) and the sourdough - all amazing. And what lovely people running the business, I can't wait to try everything!

An absolutely amazing little German-style artisan bakery, the service is so friendly and welcoming, and the bread was so flavourful and hearty! Truly a great amount of care and passion have gone into making such a wonderful product.Will be back as soon as I can!
