Nice quite dam to get away from the rat race". Week days are best..Southern side of dam has a couple of camping areas

Stayed in the large Queenslander homestead with friends. A total of ten of us and was awesome. So much room.Great couple of days down at the dam.Not the best for launching boat or jetski because no ramp and limited foreshore area which is mud. Need to trim the lake bank with excavator for better swimming access and would recommend if not staying onsite use the public ramp on the other side of the lake with tables etc.

This little lake is tucked away surrounded by farm land. Free roaming cattle in the area and lots of wildlife. Camped overnight at a lakeside camp site (name escapes me) and woke up to a beautiful sunrise.

Pleasant walk across the dam and up the hill from the car park. Between the car park and the dam is the best picnic spot.
