Ordered uber eats, and the butter chicken is just beyond expectation.Price is a bit high, but worth it. I ordered medium spicy, and it was very hot but fun to eat. I had half of the dish and started sweeting after dinner lol. The flavours are so rich and complex, I cannot tell what is in the sauce, but it was just so good!The Pappadums are very thin and crispy, perfect to go with their butter chicken hot sauce. Literally the best butter chicken I have ever had.

The restaurant has such an amazing ambience, supportive staff and delicious food. It's definitely my go to place when I crave Indian food. Its one of the best places in Sydney that serves authentic Indian food.I went there multiple times and the restaurant never once failed to amuse my taste buds. Good job AJs!!

Stumbled on this marvelous little nook by chance..we were looking for an good Indian place for long since we moved to Sydney and were mostly disappointed up till yesterday.. it's probably the best north Indian I have had in Sydney.. the plaxe gives a very cosy vibe and the staff is really helpful and kind... We had the recommended butter chicken and nimbu Kali mirch gosht and boy was it good ..but the best surprise was their naan. It was so fluffy and fresh we doubled our order ..and ended up overeating.. but it was all worth it.

Haven't been there for a long time, but this time to find their home disorderly charge, remind everyone must see the receipt. When I asked samosa chatt (2pcs) what the 2pcs meant, she told me that there were 2 pieces in it, I said: can I order one. And then it came up with two plates, and I thought that's what 2pcs meant. Three of us adults ordered rice and they charged $4.5pp, which used to be unlimited, but we had eaten 1/3 of the meal before we ran out of rice, so we wanted some more rice, but the rice didn't come after 10 minutes. I thought maybe they think us want too much, so didn't want to give it, and I didn't want to take too much trouble, so I asked for takeaway box and took all the food away. My husband was paying and ready to leave, the rice came, and I took it with me because I didn't want to waste it. When I gave the money, I found that they had charged two samosa chatt and the meal for five people. She said, We took the rice away

Today i went to restaurant at nearly at 9:20pm for take away I ordered vegetable briyani because I don’t eat chicken when I reached home I found out it is chicken briyani and they too long to make it.

Bless you May and the team at AJ’s for taking us in on Christmas Day so close to closing. We cannot be more grateful for the hospitality you showed us while I was so physically ailed, and unable to attend any Christmas gathering that day. I desperately needed nourishment, and everything directly local was closed. But it wasn’t a problem for the Chefs or May, who were just so wonderfully accommodating. When we work in service, we often don’t realise the effect we have on others, but the service given can sometimes make or break the customer’s day. I am so incredibly grateful that May was there to help organise food and drinks with grace, friendliness and good cheer!!! We tried to offer a gift to express how extremely grateful we were, but it was accepted instead that we would write a review, and make sure that we bring our parents to enjoy the restaurant. It was an easy promise to make - the food is FANTASTIC! We will come back asap!! We knew what to expect food-wise as we had ordered home delivery on previous occasions, but don’t EVER order take-away my friends, GO THERE! The hot food soothes the soul, is genuine, great portion size and absolute value for money. The samosas are crispy and the right spice/heat level, banana and coconut fresh, and the mint sauce just perfectly made. Not to mention freshly made naan and chicken in the tandoor. But most of all friends - please go for the service. With the rising cost of living, it’s hard for businesses who need to pass on food costs and staff costs - please just go there. Order something extra to make everyone’s time there enjoyable and worthwhile. Its a family business and they treat everyone as an extention on that family. Cannot sing the praises more highly - I wish AJ’s restaurant, the staff, the team and May a very prosperous 2023!!!!!!! Bless. xx

We order takeaways from AJ and the curries we've tried are great. The kids love the butter chicken and the mixed naan basket. Will be looking forward to trying other dishes.
