I’m not sure what’s happened here. Grouch used to be the best coffee in Perth, period. Seems in the last few months there has been a change in staff and the quality has tanked. I popped in on 3 separate occasions last week and each time received bitter, lack-lustre coffee. The creaminess and superior texture is gone. The food items have changed (don’t expect donuts on a Saturday anymore). There are even fewer familiar faces and I rarely if ever see the owner around any more. I asked other locals what they thought and the answer was always the same - they don’t go anymore because the quality has dropped. This is so disappointing! Please do better Grouch & Co! New staff is always an inevitability but the training and standards are insufficient.

The wonderful ladies and lads here make every visit pleasurable. Now matter how busy they are they are committed to getting your order to you in a timely fashion. Your not just a number in a queue, your a valued customer, I love the banter and smiling faces. They make you feel like you have known them your whole life, its a great experience every time.

Nice beats and stereo system. Sick mural too. I think it’s from Depeche? Oh the coffee is the bomb too… (I’m so high on caffeine rn)

I'm rarely in the Melville area, but this is a hidden gem! Stumbled onto it looking for coffee and a place to do some work! Great vibe, Excellent coffee, raw balls, friendly staff and excellent place. Definitely worth a second visit when I'm back in the area. A must.

Just bought 2x250g which was roasted 3 days ago on 16/11/22. Can't wait to try and the taste and flavour is stunning...Trying Ping & Benda roasted at 09/Jan/23...also Joined the membership

Amazing coffee and the glass of sparkling water on the side, both on a cute little tray, is a wonderful touch. Very dog friendly too with the grassed seating area out the front.

Best coffee in Perth and the crew are fantastic - it has been a tough couple of years in hospitality but Ren and Greg have navigated Grouch through choppy waters as smooth as possible, and always with a smile. The new order app through Bopple has been a winner, was even treated to drive-through service once by Sarah - I will continue to petition for a permanent car service! Vincenzo the corgi has been the highlight of 2022, hopefully he will get a formal store mascot role in 2023. For those lucky enough you might be able to catch Oslo and Remy enjoying a puppacino alongside the new garden tables out the front. Do yourself a favour and head down for a coffee by people who roast their own beans and genuinely care about coffee - you can taste the difference for yourself.

Great coffee and outdoor seatings. It's also dog friendly so that's a plus. Bought some freshly roasted beans too, yummy.
