A beautiful spot to witness amazing sunset. The entire place is far from city lights that gives you an unique opportunity to witness the sunset in its full glory.The approach to this place is through a dusty and gravel road, so ensure you have the right car for the drive.

In a region of fairly flat terrain, this lookout is perched above a vast plain. Fortunately, the lookout faces West, so travellers can park among the tailings and watch the sun set on the distant horizon.

Great place to see the sunset and the beer can house is amazing too see how it was built. Can be busy at sunset so get there early to get a good place

Magical place, amazing landscape and gorgeous at sunset. Historically significant as well - find out when the sun is setting, start the Green Car Door tour half an hour before and enjoy!

Very good. My Poodle loves mine shafts. They fascinate him, as long as he is not falling. An easy quite drive through history. Just follow the green doors.

A dirt/gravel track but we had a small SUV which did the job just fine.The view at sunset is stunning, would recommend over any other time of day

Best Lightning Ridge sunset viewing point. I’m guessing this is also a good spot to shoot lightning shots if you got a camper and plenty of time.
