I'm so happy that I chose to dive with Scuba IQ as from the very first moment, I realized that Martin knew exactly what he was doing.I really liked the boat, the excellent equipment and Martin's fantastic knowledge of the Great Barrier Reef and each of the unique locations we visited.Everything was well organised and ran smoothly with Martin describing the site before each dive and no time was wasted during the dives, in finding the best areasI would like to highlight their professionalism and it was great to finally have some underwater photos of my own after more than 30 years of diving!I would have no hesitation in giving Scuba IQ the highest recommendation to anyone wanting an unforgettable diving experience on the Great Barrier Reef!

Incredible experience made better by Martin's knowledgeable guiding. The dives were varied and beautiful, well pitched based on our interests and abilities. Martin (the dive leader) was interesting, funny, experienced and very helpful. Cannot recommend Scuba IQ enough! Well worth it to get the most out of the Great Barrier Reef diving.

Martin from Scuba IQ helped us plan our time here in Port Douglas. After we had booked our trips he also helped us to find a lovely restaurant for NYE.First we went on a day trip and we were both diving and snorkeling on the reef. We went diving with Michael who was very professional, kind, helpful and funny!The next day we went on a half day snorkeling trip to Low Isles - also a great day and we saw turtles!!We can highly recommend Scuba IQ so just get in touch with Martin and he will help you with everything you need :)

We completed the intro to diving excursion with Martin, and couldn't be happier with the experience. I completed two PADI courses with Scuba IQ in October 2017 - Deep Diver and Underwater Photographer.Martin is a brilliant instructor and an excellent communicator. He exceeded my expectations and made the courses most enjoyable. He has a confident yet friendly nature about him and explains things in a way which is easy to understand.I have been scuba diving with quite a few different companies since I qualified in 2004 and completed various courses around the world. Put simply, Scuba IQ is the best company I have been out with. I cannot recommend them any higher.

I was recommended to contact Martin from a boat operator in Port Douglas. From my first interaction over the phone, Martin was friendly, always prompt and clear with our options. My 13 year old son and I have been diving 7 several times and wanted to work with Martin to move up to our Advanced PADI. Martin helped us achieve this! We had six dives over two days, on a boat that Scuba IQ partner with- ‘Calypso Cruises’.Our instructor was Michael - an absolute gentleman who has a few thousand dives under his belt, and was fantastic for us. My son and I felt safe and comfortable - the equipment was clean and current , and safety was always the priority.I couldn’t imagine there to be a better scuba diving operator in Port Douglas.As for diving the GBR…..INCREDIBLE!! great way to achieve a PADI course , kicking both goals at once. Soooo good!!Thank you Martin, Michael - we will cherish these memories , and put them into practice for many years to come!

Martin and SCUBA IQ got me SCUBA certified while I was visiting Port Douglas from California. From the moment I reached out, he was helpful and clear about what he could offer me, as well as costs. I went with private instruction, as recommended by my US SCUBA instructor, due to a bit of anxiety I was dealing with when I first got underwater. Martin helped me navigate this quickly and easily, with expert skill and got me through the certification process with confidence and ease. Our two free dives on the second day were the highlight of my Great Barrier Reef tour!On top of being professional and highly skilled and experienced, Martin was a really cool guy and we had a blast hanging out on the boat between dives. Really felt like I made a new friend on this trip, and I look forward to coming back and diving the Reef some more with him and SCUBA IQ!

Martin and Scuba IQ are exceedingly qualified to assist with a SCUBA certification venture and where better to make this memory than within the Great Barrier Reef! Throughout the entire process, Martin was engaging, polite, humorous, knowledgeable, and well in control of the diving activities while giving you time to familiarize yourself with each lesson and making you feel comfortable. The instructions were always clear and concise, and questions were happily welcomed. After the SDI certification course, my wife and I feel much more confident in our abilities diving and appreciate the level of discipline rewarded by the program. Martin is a top-notch, highly credentialed diving instructor and I really cannot recommend his course enough given what I’ve described above. It was an absolute pleasure to place this cherry on top of our holiday to Australia and I extend my deepest thanks to Martin and his team. Cheers!

I just completed my advanced open water with Martin and I am so pleased with the outcome. Martin is a true professional, from the moment you board the boat to the moment you leave he is catering to your needs. The knowledge and skill sets he shares are incredible. I had hoped that the course would take my diving ability to the next level and Martin far exceeded that. He explains things in a way that is easy to understand but also in a way that is going to benefit you immensely. I’m already looking forward to completing my next round of training with Martin and highly recommend him to anyone who’s looking to increase their skills and diving knowledge. 5 stars is not enough, the man deserves more

Last week I completed my open water diver course with Martin at Scuba IQ. I highly recommend anyone wanting to do a diving course, to do it with Scuba IQ. Look no further. After doing a bit of research, I didn’t know who to do the course with. Once I looked at reviews and made a few enquires, I decided to go with Scuba IQ (which was very reasonably priced). Martin replied promptly to enquiries, which made the whole planning process easy. He was able to accommodate the dates I requested.Once I started the course (which ended up being 1 on 1), Martin took me through everything that was required. Martin was friendly and easy going which made the 3 days fun. But saying this, when it came to the course he was very thorough. Day 1 in the pool, he ensured I could complete the skills required in the open water, which gave me the confidence I needed. I felt comfortable to ask for clarification on anything I wasn’t sure about. The 6 open water dives (Day 2 & 3) were at 6 different sites of the Great Barrier Reef, where Martin’s guidance & training made them even more enjoyable. It was great to do the course with someone so experienced and knowledgeable. I now feel equipped and competent to do open water diving.I loved the whole course and will go straight to Scuba IQ for further diving qualifications.
