We asked the staff member if the fish was fresh? To which she stated “yes brought in yesterday”.Could not be further from the truth.Upon opening the bags, the smell was of rotting fish which was not for human consumption.Buyer beware, check before purchase as you will waste your money.

The prawns supplied on the 23rd December for our Christmas lunch lasted beautifully for Christmas Day on ice and we’re delicious. Thanks for the brilliant service and excellent produce.

This place is a co-op, they receive their fish / crustaceans when the boats come in and are available. It’s not your standard city store, that buys from a market, stores it, freezes etc to prolong its life and sells it to you. This shop is buying from the trawlers, direct from the ocean… even if it’s a day old, you won’t get fresher than this, in any city seafood store.This place is awesome, any friends who pass thru this town, is made to make a special trip for me, bringing my goodies back to Melbourne!!

Bought some thresher shark on recommendation by the lady's at the counter, was delicious as they said. Also, got some duckfish (boarfish) was equally delicious. Wish you were closer to Melbourne.

Bought snapper today - it was actually inedible - not sure how old it was - baked it with lemon, lemon juice, S&P - normally a 5 star dish for us! Oysters were great

Really disappointing. Drove from Paynesville to buy some fresh oysters and fish. Oysters wrapped in glad wrap from yesterday and all the fish was yesterday’s as well, brown and turned up at the edges. Hard pass.

Absolutely beautiful prawns, mussels, fish ect,The 2 young lady's that served us today where absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable, helpful, kind and smiling and very welcoming. Great place to get fresh fish and prawns (when in season) plenty Of sauces etc.to go with the fish and prawns. The service was very good and came with a friendly smile.
