Visiting with mates from Newcastle for the ladies day races. The hospitality of the Racing club personnel and locals in general was nothing short of amazing. I'll have nothing but good things to say about Port Augusta and the race day and its all as a result of the kindness expressed to us. Thankyou one and all for a wonderful memory and we will be back.

Port Augusta Racing Cup Day gives you a unique country day at the races that meets all of your race day needs.Getting there was super easy, as was the free parking. This is a two min walk from the entrance gate.Taxi and buses are also provided.Inside you'll find bookies, bars, a great sausage/ steak sanga with the local Rotary club and hot scrumptious donuts with the local Lions club.. fantastic to have local charity groups raising funds for themselves.There is ample room, with lovely manicured lawns stretching along the track fence. And space to be up close watching the horses in the parade or thumping down the red earth track.

Can't beat a day at the country races. Great place to meet old and new friends. The interaction you experience with jockeys and horse's is what makes the day.
