Alter It Richmond

They say a tailor can take something that looks and fits okay - and transform it into something fabulous! I’ve been taking my clothes to Alter It Richmond for 14 years. No job is too big or too tricky. They’ve even done emergency alterations on my way to a work event. Brava to Diana and Anna and the team. Highly recommended.

I took a sport rain jacket to have a zip replaced, i provided flexibility and was told it would be ready after a week and was quoted a price range. 5 weeks later I go and collect the jacket and firstly I get an invoice of double the price i was quoted which was never confirmed or accepted by me and secondly the job done is really of poor quality. The zip is shorter than than the previous, doesn’t go along the full length of the jacket and of very poor quality. First and last time I will visit this place.Update: a week later and the stitching is coming undone

I was riding passed the place with my cycling gloves. There was a torn stitch on one of the gloves. The lady fixed that in no time wishing me a good day. They made my day! Wonderful service! I recommend it!

The absolute best of the best! Altered the length and added pleating tape to 4 large curtains same day. Other Alter It stores brushed me away. Pricing was more than reasonable. Thanks guys - you are awesome!

I called and spoke to a lady who seemed to know all about what I needed and was able to get the job done same day. However I called somewhere else and they were cheaper so I didn't attend Alter It Richmond. But the customer service was A+

Absolutely fantastic alteration place! Love the staff. I dealt with two lovely ladies. They were super friendly, polite, professional, welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable. My alteration was done perfectly! Love their work! They’re not that expensive either. I dropped off my pants on Monday and was supposed to collect my pants that Thursday morning but I received a text on Tuesday stating that my pants are ready to be collected. That was very quick, wonderful and convenient. Now this is exceptional customer service. Not only are they polite and friendly they did a brilliant job and it was ready earlier than expected. I will definitely return to your business and I highly recommend Alter It Richmond to anyone who wants excellent service! Thank you, girls. I’m a very happy, satisfied customer!

Great experience. They are so helpful. Have made all my jeans fit nice around my waist. Struggle to find jeans that fit my body small waist, bigger bottom. They do a great job of making jeans fit snug :)

I had a button fall off a jacket between open houses. Dianna was so helpful and reattached it straight away. I get all my gear altered there and the workmanship is excellent. Thanks Dianna, you’re a legend :)

I dropped off a dress that needed a new zip with 2 other small alteration items, paid the money and they said it would be ready by Sunday.When I got a text on Sunday to collect the dress wasn’t ready. I told them I was going away for 6 weeks the next day so please hold onto it.When I returned there 7-8 weeks later they had given the dress away. They said they would try and find it and call me. I haven’t heard from them in weeks.I am so upset as this was one of my favourite pieces. I tried to call them, no answer.No communication, no apology, no refund or compensation for losing my garment, no care whatsoever.I just can’t believe the lack of professionalism and I’m just so angry this has happened despite the conversations we have had.Terrible experience.
