Not a very good experience. The big, unfriendly lady behind the counter made fun of me because she was not able to read my German driver licence. She turned to her co-worker and asked him if he can read it. To get a QLD D/L, I need a translation of my German one, she said.I went to the TMR in Mackay today only to find out that I do not need a translation. There is a book with overseas driver licences. You just need to compare the German card with the picture in the book. Even though you are not fluent in any other language than English, it should be possible for you as to compare pics.
