First off: this is a cat cafe. It features cats. These are rescue cats and they are in a variety of states. That means, yes, you're possibly going to smell cats. That's to be expected. Bear that in mind when you're leaving a review. It might not be a them-thing. It might be a you-thing.This is a fantastic place. There is a separate room for kittens than for older cats and the staff are both knowledgeable and passionate about cats and rescue work. Welcoming and comfortable, it is a great place to grab a coffee and snuggle a cat.There is no kitchen so food options are extremely limited but they do well with the facilities that they have. The cat room is themed as an Alice in Wonderland room (or was, at the time of this review) which provides a happy sense of whimsy.HOWEVER.It should be noted for people who are sensitive to flashing lights and contrasting colours (like me) that the cat room contains flashing fairy lights all along the ceiling that alternatively glow and flash in a regular pattern. The upstairs area of the cat room also has a table with a chessboard pattern, as do the floor and the stairs. If you are sensitive to visual stimuli, please consider this when you plan a visit.Thanks, GPCC, for a fun visit!

Omg, what's not to love about this venue.....staff are super friendly, cleaning of the poop and wee trays is done regularly and you get to cuddle cats and kittens....the styling is super fun, will definately be back.

I’m totally blind and I have only been to this place once.It was good to sit on the couch and relax with the Kittens while drinking a coffee.I was with my support worker at the time.

Wonderful place, my first time visiting and took the children along to see the Kitties!Friendly staff, cost $20 for four people to spend 1/2 an hour with the cats, no obligation to buy food/drink.Some rules in place for the cats such as no running, no shouting, no walking around while holding cats which is all reasonable.Slight odour from the cats, but you would think that’s expected and wasn’t too bad.They also allow for the adoption of the cats.

The manager is a very kind and passionate person when it gets to animal welfare. The food was basic and very delicious. The only issue was the smell. It was horrendous and overpowering. If I knew I wouldn't have gone, but my daughter is a massive fan, so I did it for her.That being said, the work they do is absolutely amazing,and we are discussing getting a second cat from there.

Went today for lunch and cuddles with a friend, the food was very nice and the coffee was great! Not a lot of selections for food, and no menu's but nonetheless. After food we paid $5 each to spend half an hour with the cats. The first room is the kitten room, the next one is the cat lounge. It was very hot, so everyone was lazy and tired, but we sat and talked while snuggling and patting the cats anyway. They let us stay long past our half hour as we lost track of time. Very good service. Definitely worth the experience.

My kids are cat-obsessed so I was happy to make time to visit Grounded Paws during a recent stay in Traralgon.Located in the industrial-business area of Traralgon, a small cafe leads into a converted warehouse decorated in Alice in Wonderland theme. It's $5 per person, and when we visited there were no time restrictions so we were with the cats for about 45minutes. The cafe itself and the cat room are separate, so, if you want to enjoy your food and drink away from the fur babies you can.There are two levels the kitties can roam, and you're welcome to take a seat and pet/cuddle any interested cats that grace you with their attentions! There are plenty of nooks and crannies the cats can seek refuge in, and they have rules to ensure the place is as safe as possible for the cats.Grounded Paws provides a cozy (perhaps a bit litter-box smelling) environment to spend time with the cats with the option to adopt.A nice initiative that allows cats awaiting the fur-ever homes to socialize, and for potential owners to get to know the personality of the cat before adoption goes ahead.
