I will not stay anywhere else in the Latrobe Valley. period!Rosemary and Phil are absolute gems and so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Spotlessly clean rooms, super comfy beds, free wifi, very quiet location but still so handy to town. I have stayed here half a dozen times, at-least, and I have never been let down. And if you order the cooked breakfast, magnificent!!

We stayed here for two nights on a weekend. Friendly owner, the batteries in the remote were flat came straight away to fix was no problem for him to sort out. Lovely, clean King bed room. Excellent value. Nice and quiet. Good night’s sleep.

This place as a name change. It is now called La Trobe motor inn. This is the second time I have stayed. It is a little noisy from some tenants. Petty squabbles. Next door is coles servo with great coffee and down the road is social club. I would stay here every time I was in morwell

It was comfortable enough for an overnight stay, the lady behind the counter was pleasant on arrival and departure. However, I was expecting access to a pool which was advertised in my booking. The pool is a disgrace, and I wouldn’t be surprised if in its current state, the colour of the water, the potential algae, and who knows what else, that it is a potential OHS risk. I also had an unexpected and unpleasant visit from some crickets in my shower. Noticed them when they were suddenly crawling over my feet. Yuck. After leaving a similar review through the booking website, the owner called me to complain and ended up abusing me over the phone for my review and told me never to come back. You know what? I never would, hence my review! SMH! She also said she knew she had cricket problems! Well, get some bloody pest control measures in! To run a motel with a known pest problem is disgusting. Would not recommend staying here. PS wouldn’t have left this google review if she had not called and abused me on my Sunday afternoon.

Nice and clean rooms. Access was easy and parking was convenient.We found the motel to be quiet and had a great night's sleep.The owners were very accommodating to our late arrival and super-early departure.

Very friendly staff, we were upgraded to a corporate room when checking in. We were then personally shown to our room, which I have never experienced before. The room was very clean, the bathroom in particular was modern, nice and very clean. Highly recommend, it was an awesome package for an awesome price.

Stayed here for business trip and I was so happy with how clean everything was, when staying away for work I want to feel comfortable and operate as I would at home.The manager who I think also owns the motel was welcoming, his passion for excellence was noted when it came to the small things such as clean linen and comfortable beds.Also nice meals right next door (about 2 minute walk)Will be back

The property is bit dated. But the hard working couple who run this place compensate with their high levels of customer service. We were there as a large group, and checked in very late and some of our vehicles had to move during odd hours. They were a very helpful and understanding lot.

Room was clean and comfortable. Cleaning service is great. Late checkin was great. I don’t recommend the Pizza place that they recommend (Zoi) and don’t plan on swimming.Edit: no power points near the bed. Needed to charge the phone next to the TV/microwave.

I have stayed at the Coal Valley Inn approximately 20 times over the past 6 months and I couldn't speak highly enough of this motel and its lovely owners. Each week, Col and Eileen have made my trip down from Melbourne to Morwell something to look forward too. They are always so accommodating, easy to communicate with and have been willing to do whatever they possibly can to make me feel at home. They both also have a great amount of local knowledge when it comes to restaurants and other cool things to do!I have stayed in about 15 different rooms over the past 6 months and each one has been incredibly clean, comfortable and contains all one would need for a night away for work or holiday. The facility also has a fantastic restaurant for breakfast, this is a real passion of Col's, who is always looking for new, exciting things to put on the menu.As I was away for work, I was so happy to find that the unlimited WiFi connection at this hotel is by far the fastest and most reliable I have encountered at any hotel/motel anywhere in Australia.I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and I urge anyone to book and enjoy this country Victorian gem!
