Tai Baan Bakery Eastwood
Great Asian bakery. Clean and friendly. Bread was decent but nothing out of the ordinary compared to your Bread Tops and etc.

Been getting my buns here since they opened. The buns are fresh, fluffy, generous size and most of all delicious and tasty. The buns produced here are more like home cooked rather than the commercial buns from the other bakeries. My personal favourites are the coconut and cream buns. Their custard tarts are always sold out and I don't have to tell you why...

Not sure if they changed management or not but the previous manager or boss is definitely very friendly and great customer service than the current one, the senior lady (other girls are very nice instead). Although the buns are yummy but with the bad customer service and attitude (something like my store only had that much items buy or not up to you ....) then sorry I won't buy anything from that store again.

I used to be a frequent customer of the shop before covid, always had great experience. Not sure if the shop has changed owner, I called up to oder a cake, the staff answered was very rude, quite disappointing.

I got the sponge cake in wrapped in paper 紙包蛋糕 and pineapple bun 菠蘿包. The cake was airy at the top but a bit moist at the bottom. The pineapple bun wasn’t too flavourful. Not sweet and dough a bit chewy. A bit disappointing

4.9 - Best Chinese Bakery around! Fresh goods baked twice daily. Wide variety of different buns, cookies and cakes. Friendly and efficient staff, clean trays and utensils. I also tried the Chestnut Cake - so delicious and better than anything I have had in Sydney in all my years! Yumm

Best Asian Bakery in Eastwood! Suited for the Asian pallett (savory) but they do have some sweeter delights. Prices have gone up recently but the quality of breads and cakes is still good.

Bakery has been at Eastwood for a long time. I like their whole cakes especially fresh mango / chocolate / chestnut / fruit flavour (served with fresh strawberry/canned mango/kiwifruit), they taste light and not too sweet. The sponge layers within are moist and not dry. The whole cake is covered in cream (oil based cream and not fresh whipped cream type) and in between two sponge layers is etiher fruit or cake flavour (ie taro, mango etc).Cake sizes are in pounds, 1 pound is about a 6

4.5/5 or 5/5 items (would recommend):Egg tart, pork floss & pickled mustard bun, spring onion & pork floss bunAverage items (not that impressive; fillings are slightly off in flavour, or they're not as well-made/-proportioned):Cranberry & cream cheese bun, pineapple coconut bun, pineapple red bean bun, pineapple charsiu bun, Mexican bun, chiffon cupcake, taro roll cakeBelow average (would not recommend):Red bean mochi, sesame mochi, chicken & mushroom bun, red bean bunConclusion: Tai Baan Bakery's presentation is doubtlessly neat and its items will scratch the itch if you're craving Chinese bakery goods, but a majority of them are unfortunately lacking in some way. Whether it be the tiny amounts of filling in the chicken & mushroom bun, red bean mochi and sesame mochi, to the poorly-dispersed fillings of the cranberry & cheese bun (cheese and cranberries on opposite ends?) and pineapple coconut bun (all on one side, leaving the other tasteless?). However, they at least get the tangzhong bread texture right, and are still better quality than Queen's Bakery. I would return for the top few items mentioned, especially the egg tart, which is flawless and delicious.
