Dog Gone Mad
Nathan is seriously the most knowledgeable, professional and successful dog trainer we’ve ever had! Our 6 year old Bull Arab Dane is 38kg of love however it has been very difficult walking her since she was a puppy. We’ve been through it all with other trainers, the cost, the time, the effort, the fail. We’ve bought what they’ve told us to buy. We drew the line at medicating our girl. Then we heard about Nathan. Not only did he reassure us that she does not need medication, but within a couple of hours, we were able to walk her with better control and minimal effort. Nathan went out of his way to ensure both Chanel, mum and dad were comfortable. He even came by my workplace in Menai to help me further with a collar fitting free of charge. Thank you so much for your time, effort and passion to help us walk our Chanel. You are incredible!! Would highly recommend, do not waste your time and effort elsewhere. See Nathan asap, it’s never too late!

Nathan is a professional & honest dog behavior specialist. Nathan provided excellent guidance & clarity on my dog's behavior complications, as well as suggested practices that would aid me in understanding & providing the best response for my dogs needs in that moment of uncertainty whilst he exhibits the unwanted behavior.

Nathan is an absolute gem! Our dog had a serious case of aggression, and we had already spent a fortune on various training methods, medication and dog behaviour specialists, all in vain. Finally we came across Nathan, He not only had a wealth of information to share but also went the extra mile to give us even more helpful tips to take home. Nathan's approach was refreshingly simple and made perfect sense. We were a bit skeptical at first, considering all the money we had previously spent, we were pleasantly surprised! Nathan was the perfect fit for us, and he armed us with all the tools and skills we needed to handle our boy. Now, our dog can stroll by other dogs without more than a quick glance. Of course, there's still some work to be done, but the best part is that Nathan's instructions seamlessly fit into our everyday life. Consistency is the secret ingredient here! So, if you're looking for a fantastic dog trainer who brings results and a friendly attitude, look no further than Nathan. Trust me, he's the real deal!

Nathan assessed and trained our difficult and reactive Aussie Shepherd pup and now we are not going mad. His skills, knowledge and results far surpassed other dog trainers that we have used. We would highly recommend the approach that Nathan takes to obedience and skill mastery. Our dog missed when him when he returned back home. Totally worth every cent! Nathan is on a different level to most trainers. I've had dogs all my life and trained them all myself, often to high levels of agility and obedience. I now have the pleasure of owning 2 beautiful Dobermans and they are a very different training experience. I tried myself and failed to get the behaviour I needed. I employed the services of 2 supposedly experienced trainers at different times with no success. Nathan explained the theory to us of dog behaviour and was great at identifying the different styles for different breeds. He actually described the likely behaviour we were struggling with before we told him. We then did practical work with each of our dogs. Within 5 minutes, he had our monster of a male walking calmly, paying attention and not wanting to run the show. He explained every technique and guided us to learn. In one day our home is calmer and we will soon enjoy our outings with our dogs.I can't recommend him highly enough. I travelled almost 2 hours to get to him, on a recommendation of another dog expert and it was more than worth it. If you can get to see Nathan then don't bother with other trainers. He is the dog whisperer.

We have an 2 .5 year old Male German Shepherd. We have been to puppy school, and three other trainers. He became overly protective and aggressive to humans and other dogs, mainly after our other dog passed away. We love walking our dog but we felt we may be endangering others. Nathan’s work has meant we do not have to give our beautiful dog away, We can now how people in our home, and walk him without fear. Nathan was dedicated, Polite and knowledgeable. This is not my first large breed dog but the only dog that has needed a true expert. Thank you so much, we are very grateful Matthew and Helen Carter

We cannot recommend Nathan at Dog Gone Mad enough. Our dog was horrible to walk, we couldn't take him around other dogs or busy areas its was really quiet sad he would bark and pull. He didn't know basic commands we needed some serious help. Nathan had our dog for 4 weeks and he came back with the BEST manners and we can now take him everywhere. Nathan dropped him back and stayed with us for 3 hours teaching us everything we needed to know to keep our dogs training up. We are so thankful for Dog Gone Mad !

Nathan is professional, efficient, and gets straight to the point without the use of excessive fluff often used by other trainers. Our lab X has been leash aggressive to dogs, bikes, prams & tall males for the past three years. We’ve spent thousands of dollars on training and trainings tools with absolutely no improvement. After one session with Nathan & the use of proper equipment, Marshall has improved ten-fold. I was actually able to take him for a walk without coming home frustrated with an aching arm from holding his leash. I am so excited to see how Marshall continues to improve over the coming weeks. Thank you Nathan! Taylah, Jordan & Marshall

Nathan took the most challenging Giant Schnauzer pup we've come across in many years/lines/litters. Not our first rodeo, but the first time we had to phone-a-friend..He took our problem in his stride, and made steady progress over some weeks more than expected: Once he realised just how *special* our boy really was!The outcome was exceptional, in terms of the progress made and Nathan's ownership of the handover and subsequent follow-up.This is in stark contrast to our experience with another outfit that used to specialise in working dogs for police/customs et al.Wholeheartedly recommend DGM for even the most challenging ~individuals and sweet souls alike. It's not a one-size-fits-all factory. His approach in each case is unique. We're very grateful for Nathan's dedication and expertise. The black one now enjoys life at home and in the park. That's a crucial step forward for everyone!

We have an 18month old Irish Red Setter who was wild. Our dog would make his own rules and would cry all day when left alone, jump on strangers and would pull on the lead so much that it felt like my shoulder would dislocate. We were recommended Nathan by friends of ours who had great success. Nathan was absolutely fantastic. He picked up Phil from our house and took him to his lovely home where he has plenty of space to run around. Nathan worked his magic on Phil and returned him a new dog! Our relationship with Phil has changed for the better and we have a dog who goes to his bed and stays, who doesn't pull on the lead and who doesn't jump on people or our bed and couch!I can see Nathan has a really strong love for dogs and is a compassionate trainer who understands how to manage very sensitive dogs (such as ours). He clearly uses a unique approach for each dog and gave Phil the boundaries he needs without destroying Phil's confidence and love for life.Nathan came back to check in on Phil and his progress a few days ago after about 4 weeks of being at home post training... Phil is obsessed with him. I've never seen how excited Phil was with someone else other than us. It was so great to see.I couldn't recommend Nathan more.
