Smart Energy

Poor customer service. Waiting over an hour for a home visit which never eventuated. Called to follow up where they were and promised a call back. 1110 we received a phone call from someone claiming the person was essentially MIA. We had other appointments to attend to and was now not at home when we received yet another phone call stating that they had double booked and they could have made the appointment by 1030 if we had agreed from the 1110am phone call, interestingly enough it was now 12pm so unsure and confused how they could commit to a time already passed. Received yet another phone call stating that mobile services were down, excuses after excuses. We would have signed a contract today but after the poor service today we will be seeking alternative options.

Would give zero if I could, constantly get calls even after repeated requests to remove me from their system.DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR NUMBER

Horrible response to issues with inverter Smart Energy installed! Having had 4 previous solar instals in previous homes, I have never encountered an inverter (Sun Grow) that is so incredibly loud that one cannot work from the home. Smart Energy requested videos to replicate sound and come back with this is normal". Yet

Exceptional service from start to finish. Jared in TAS was very professional and excellent at walking me through the process, time frames and costs/benefits involved. Very patient as well with 2 kids running around when he came to my home! Install and service since has been awesome.

Absolutely hopeless.I agreed to meet with a specialist at 1130 today to discuss my solar options. No one came. I then got a call at 145 (from Alana) -over an hour after the scheduled appointment - to say they were fully booked for 1130 and I was the “spare” in case someone cancelled … to not waste the time of their specialist.0/10 for customer service. Be warned.

Smart Energy - I spoke to these people around 2 years ago when they cold called me and then sent an agent around to give me a quote. Seemed very friendly and sincere. They provided a quote but i decided not to proceed with the install at the time and I advised them of this since their price was not competitive with the local market.Since then I have received repeated phone calls from their call center asking me again and again what happened. To which I have responded asking them to please record the fact that I am not interested and to stop calling me. This hasn't helped and two years later I continue to receive calls from them asking me the same question and irritating me.Once Smart Energy get your phone number they will endlessly harass you. They seemed reasonable but strike me as a large bureaucratic organisation that seek profits and don't mind harassing their potential customers - buyer beware.

Waited over an hour, we called the call centre to see where they were, eventually get a call to say could be at our property on 20 minutes. If this is an indication of service we will take our business elsewhere. Not even an apology, just excuses

The solar panels were installed as per the installers plan. No tiles broken. The system is working as we expected

This is such a scam. Their entire model is based on signing customers up for a repayment plan. The sales person was clearly trying to skirt around the actual cost of the product as well as how much money it would save us. According to the salesperson we dealt with, they do not provide quotes (as this would hold them accountable), they 'provide solutions'. When pressed, she disclosed that the system would cost approximately $25,000 to purchase outright - more than three times what an equivalent system would cost from an alternative retailer. Whatsmore, her calculations of our savings were entirely overinflated. An absolute scam - I'm all for solar, but certainly not with this company.
