Sandpiper Motel Apollo Bay- Great Ocean Road

Sandpiper is a little Germ along Great Ocean Road. we strongly recommend. We had an enjoyable stay at Sandpiper. The self check in and check out was easy and very helpful as we arrived late.The room was clean. the bed was so comfortable.we did not see any staff, but still can feel that they put their effort hard. we got fresh milk in the fridge. we also have few maps to recommend what we can do around Apollo Bay.It was helpful also to have restaurant suggestion list.Thank you

The room was not bad, though we would have appreciated a microwave. The bathroom was huge and had a spa bath. The recommendation is downgraded though because there was no one at reception. Instead, our keys were in an envelope and we had to drop them in a box when we left. We found this very impersonal. Would have liked to have been welcomed by a fellow human being. Also, the car park had no designated spots and someone took the one we had chosen while we were moving into position.

Its most unfortunate that we cannot spend more time is this accommodation. For its price, its a five stars! Its comfortable and like any hotel. Highly recommended

Lovely accommodation by the beach (literally walk across the road and the beach is there)The room is clean with all of the amenities you need. Bathroom is clean, modern and fairly sized.Easy check in and check out. Staff is ready to help.We stayed in the room with terrace. The only thing would make it better is some privacy screen or hedge to provide more privacy from the street.All in all, a great experience and would stay there again

Very disappointing. The price was increased considerably because it was a public holiday weekend and yet there wasn’t even anyone to greet you at reception, just an envelope to pickup. Guests in another room were very noisy but we had to deal with it ourselves as no one available to help.

We loved our stay.Reception is unmanned but they responded swiftly to any phone call.The place is wonderfully clean.Will choose this location again.

This was my first stay at Sandpiper and I will certainly be happy to return there on future visits. The standard of room was very good, it was clean and the bed exceptionally comfortable. The one thing that I will say is that as a solo traveller, the size of the room was ideal for *me.* If I was travelling with another person, however, it would be worthwhile finding out how much 'personal space' they needed, as the room could seem a little cramped with two people and their belongings.

Mixed feelings.Stay is a Saturday - mountain view king size double bed, one night to 300au but not worth the price,more expensive than motel in Melbourne,and the bed not actually a king size bed either.Bed: its bed is two small beds together, sleep one night waist pain has been pressed to the gap in the middle.Very noisy: someone talking outside or climbing stairs can be heard clearly in the room.Cleaning: the big pillows of the bed are in one piece, there are no extra pillowcases, and there is a sour smell that has not been cleaned.Toilets: The hot water in the toilet is very slow.Facilities: There is no kitchenette in the room as introduced on the website, not even a microwave oven!Disappointing experience, there should be better options for the price!

Good place to stay. You can walk to places for food as it's not too far away from the venues. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean (it looks just like the photos on their website). We arrived after hours and had no trouble collecting the keys that were left for us. Would stay here again!

We stopped over here while we were doing the Great ocean road. My friend put down that it was my birthday so they very kindly upgraded us to an ocean view room which was amazing! Lovely room, very comfy bed and had the loveliest bathroom! Would absolutely recommend!
