My son and daughter have been English tutored by Alan for over a year. My son currently in year 11 is performing very well in Advanced English due to building confidence in all aspects of the English syllabus. My daughter in year 9 has a strong understanding of English while introducing her to many new English methods. Alan is a great tutor and wants to get the best from his students.

I’m very grateful to Alan for stepping in when one of the large tutoring organisations let us down badly. Alan provided SACE stage 1 Modern History tutoring for my daughter. Alan was my tutor throughout year 12 for society and culture (SAC) and English advanced and I would highly recommend him for any student. When starting Year 12, I especially struggled with SAC due to the pressure of the PIP. Not only did Alan thoroughly teach me the content learnt in class, but his unique worldview and knowledge of contemporary society allowed me to implement effective examples in my SAC exams in order to achieve a band 6. In English, I achieved a high ranking due to Alan providing advanced resources that helped me practise for HSC exams. He also ensured that I thoroughly understood all of my prescribed texts and mentally supported me when I was under stress as he gave me advice to get through my exam periods. My two daughters are currently having English tutoring with Alan, and we are very happy with the service. Comparing to the previous tutoring classes we had with other tutoring schools, I think Alan’s tutoring lesson is more efficient – my daughters are very focus and involved during the whole lesson, so learning and improving after each lesson. My 10 year old boy just started tutoring with Alan this year as my son struggles with reading, comprehension etc and didn't have confidence in himself.Since he started tutoring with Alan, I honestly have to say I am beyond grateful for his lessons as my son feels a lot more confident in himself and in his work. His reading has improved and having an understanding of things that he struggled with and even words that he did not understand, is so much better than before and I can see the growth in his work and confidence. Alan is a wonderful tutor who has helped motivate my daughter wry much. I highly recommend him because he seems to be able to communicate with students in a positive manner. He talks to them at a level they can understand. I know the importance of this as I teach at University myself.
