Pauls barber shop

The comments of the person who apparently never had a hair cut at Paul's were really unfair and symptomatic of the culture these days, yes first impression count but second and third impressions mean more. Pauls shop is littered with memorabilia and this atmosphere suits many who remember the names in the posters and in the photos on the walls, hero's of another day and age. They once thrilled us with their feats, now they serve to remind us that life is sweet but also fleeting.The haircuts are great and because of the kind of person I am, I tip the barber every time because he is making me look my best, not an easy job.So I wish the guy who bought his own grooming kit to save some money all the best but I will be getting Paul to cut my hair for a long time to come, well hopefully.Terry

If the smell of stale machine oil, a surly attitude and being treated like an idiot is your idea of an old world barber shop then this is the place for you.Stopped by on the way to the cash machine to check availability and price of a full shave but my first question was met with complete rudeness. Obviously not interested in new customers so I bought a grooming kit instead. Cheaper too.If you after good customer service then avoid this place. No wonder these places that I remember so well from my youth are dying out.

Old school barber from a family of local barbers. Died in the wool old school. Legendary barber with a glass of kero to keep the bugs at bay that his combs rest in. I'll be back every couple of months until he retires, (or more likely turns up his toes with a pair of scissors in his hand).

Excellent service, friendly chat

One of the best. Don't judge the book by reading the first page. He's good and as a person trying his best to make everyone's happy, but if your not satisfied by his job, your money is not worth to put the person job down, he work to earned money to bring food to his table for him and his wife, to pay bills and everything and not a lazy person waiting for support. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about - I had a great time at Paul's. It's a more authentic barber compared to big commercial chains that just chuck their own music on and ignore you.Prices are also extremely affordable too (haircut for $23).Thanks Paul - see you next time!
