Victorian Designer Floors

Extremely happy with the results. My mother in law’s floors were water damaged and had a lot of nail holes and nails after we pulled up the carpet. We contacted Daniel from Victorian Designer Floors, they came and had a look and were confident that they could help us. The process was quick and well organised. The floors looked amazing when they finished, which helped us achieve a better sale price for the house. We would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

If I could give negative stars I would. Some of the worst workmanship I have ever seen and atrocious to deal well. Untrustworthy company that will rip you off at every opportunity. Avoid at all costs.

We didn't know what we wanted and Daniel helped us by going over the options and discussing the pros and cons of each. We ended up with some really beautiful European Oak at an excellent price. The team understand that renovation timelines can be tricky and have been happy to hold on to the boards for us whilst we sort ourselves out. Daniel has been very responsive, friendly and happy to help in all steps along the way. Highly recommend.

We contracted Vic. Designers Floors on two occasions. First it was to renew our staircase, and the second time it was to install parquetry. On both occasions we received expert advice for John and Danny. Both took the time to visit our place and discuss the different projects at length with us. The whole installation is handled by the very responsive and caring Francesca. The professionals coming to our place were extremely competent and willing to help. We have been looking at several competitors in the area and beyond and believe that the pricing from VDF is extremely competitive given the quality of the craftsmanship. I can only recommend highly this flooring company.

Extremely happy with our beautiful new floor boards from Victorian Designer Floors. Both John & Daniel were so great to deal with & offered great advice when we were deciding which boards. The showroom is amazing & gives you a real feel as to what your boards will look like. Nothing was too much trouble & the communication throughout was great! Very happy & would highly recommend!

My experience with VDF has been positive all the way through. From the moment i messaged about a quote, Daniel was over the next day measuring up and sending the quote through later that day. Even though we had to push the installation a few months, the quote price stayed the same. Once we were ready to roll, any issues were sorted out straight away and the installer did a great job. Even recommended a change in layout for a smoother, cleaner look. Highly recommend using VDF. Thanks Daniel, Danny and Brad!

A few months ago I wrote a 2 Star review on VDF. Tried to be detailed but fair, so as to help first timers like me.Since then, they have been calling and texting me to resolve the review". Their texts ask me to contact them "so that no further action is taken" or "before it's escalated further ". I blocked them

I did a lot of research into companies that dealt with timber floors. We were happy with VDF (victorian designer flooring) about the information and sale rep that we dealt with. They were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions about our flooring which put our mind at ease. The reviews were great and we wanted to support a local company.We signed the contract early March 2021 and we were excited to have our new flooring installed. This is where the problems began and thus the domino affect (almost 2 year later). The installers levelled the flooring incorrectly so the flooring was uneven when timber being laid. Then installer ran out of usable floorboards which lead not being able to finish the room correctly. They were going to charge us $1000 to order more timber. Lucky I had a case that this wasn’t our fault that they measured the room incorrectly or installers laid the flooring design incorrectly. In the end they did order more at their expense. It all looked great after the finished product until December flooring began to buckle, cup, split, crack, and lift off of the sub floor underneath that they glue it on. I’m not an expert at installing flooring but I’m pretty sure it timber flooring should last more then 6 months. This was not in one area of the flooring but throughout the whole flooring of the house. We contacted VDF about the situation with our flooring, they reassured us that it will be fixed. Passed on from one person to deal with our situation to another. Many calls, appointment booked, no shows, cancelations, and even just NO response at all. They reassured us that the flooring will be fixed but the schedule to fix it was always pushed out further and further. This is where the trust of what they were saying went out the window. Over a year later and still on going to no solution what is going to happen with our flooring. We have emails and verbal confirmation that flooring will be done in the second week of December 2022. Nothing. I understand companies big and small make mistakes, but it’s how they deal and treat the customer to make it correct in a timely manner which make great company. This didn’t happen in our situation. Therefore VDF will be getting a one star review. I would hate to have someone else deal with what we have been dealing with and the money we have spent. Buyer Beware.This is the second review I have written about VDF. I have taken the first review down that our verbal contracting email that our flooring issues that we were promised would be fixed. Nothing has been done I have decided to re-write a reviews on VDF. If anything does happen in the future, I will update this review to reflect.

Great service and very professional!We contacted VDF to service us on a couple of last minute projects where we were let down and now are in heavy talks with their management to have they contract for us full time.Even some of our staff are now speaking to them after seeing the finished product!Highly recommend them!
