What a gorgeous little cinema. Lovely drinks, a pleasant 20 minutes sitting in the sun out the front waiting for our session, and an interesting selection of movies.

I've waited a while now to write this review regarding a voucher I received that had expired and was valid during the lock downs which obviously I couldn't attend due to lock down so lost some time in addition to also having covid and being sick. I contacted this place regarding extending the voucher and though initially I received contact, I have not had any resolutions since or any further contact . I felt there was a lot of excuses made to me without any help at all. I do not recommend a place that is highly unethical towards people. And do not purchase a voucher here .

Adore my local with its powerful filmmaker focus. Lots of our own movies, classics, so much music film, docos and niche fantasticness. One neat cinema and a lovely inside-outside drinks zonage with friends in a modded ex garage. Super staff and friendly vibe with some DJ action and Q&As. Cheap Wednesdays. Crybaby sessions. Expresso martinis and even expresso martini vegan choctops!!!!! Beyond. Thrilled to have this gem up the road and be a Silver Screen member. Thanks TPH!

Date/time of visit: 28 December 2022, 5:30pmExcellent, cozy picture house. We went for a screening of the documentary about the lost city of Melbourne. Limited seating and a smaller screen but once you're engrossed in the film it's a comfortable, enjoyable venue.

Quite simply the BEST cinema in Thornbury! Not only do they show incredible pictures sourced form all four corners of the globe, but you can watch them with a delicious cocktail in hand! A truely lovely, family run cinema and an import part of the community. Thank you Thornbury Picture House, I will be back soon!

Love this place! So nice to come for a pre-movie wine or cocktail. The wine selection is always unique and the choc bombs are tasty af. I had a vegan one and it blew my mind. Most importantly the staff are super friendly. :)

A great spot to take the family and enjoy a movie together. Sure, it may not be as fancy as some of the huge cinema chains, but it more than makes up for it by actually being able to enjoy a movie experience together.

Attention to detail to recreate a boutique picture house is outstanding. Good choc top range a must and TPH delivers. Comfy seats (not reclining but keeps to the traditional re-creation) and selection of films means there's always something to watch. Good location with plenty of on street parking available after hours.
