Completed my pre-provisional motorcycle test at Stay Upright Penrith with Ian. He's a legend - very knowledgable from experience and learnt a lot from the day!

It's a LEARNING course and I was sent home early?Things where not explained, or Communicated to me again when it came to address my learning gaps.It was raining, it was unfair, I left the place in tears! Upset!I barely learnt anything by the time the the teacher just out of know where without any warning asked me to hop of the bike and leave? I thought I was doing well I was just needing more guidance on driving the bike we did 2 laps and I feel like if I was given more of a chance to use my last 2 hours to practise on these things rather then just leave it would have been better, but no the teacher Robert was more keen to skip ahead on things because the other 3 in my class already knew how to ride a motorbike?I am honestly so upset, embarrassed, money was wasted!I tried my best I would have liked to have more time to learn rather then getting sent home 2 hours early??I begged and asked for more time to practice which was meet with deaf ears the bare minimum I asked to come in tomorrow seeing as I paid for 2 days just to watch and learn but he said to just to re book? What's the point when you can just show me here on the spot how to steer and drive properly? The teacher himself was passive aggressive, every chance he could to say a negative comment or to bully others and acted like he didn't want to be there at all.No paitences at all, I am a young 21 year old woman who expressed that I have never touch a bike in my life, I was advised this 2 day learning course will teach me the basics, but when I don't get something done in 2 go and I'm told I fail? What is this? I can admit when I make mistakes but I wasn't given a chance to improve or practise by your instructor. This is a learning course, people should be allowed to practise, learn and be more considerate. There is different learning styles telling someone to do something isn't teaching , I would recommend leaving time in your course for error room, for mistakes and a more patient teacher. With the goal for you Beginner learning course to have the students having a sound knowledge over the 2 days is logical. Not cutting them off early for not knowing everything and not getting things right the first time? It's a course designed to educate new riders?

Just like to compliment the instructor here at Penrith stay upright is great , I wanted to post my experience at HART, I'm not paid by stay upright and just doing it here because I think my review to HARTs St ives needs to be approved by them for it to be seen. Here is what I want to say about St Ives HART for instructor John Davies.Just recently went for my pre-provisional licensing reception and facility was good but the most important instructor was not to standard. I think it's important for me to write a review as I'm not the type to leave a review. I'm not sure about the other instructors buy I will only talk about my one. Basically he had failed 4 out of 6 guys for the pre-provisional test, but here's the story, the start goes like this, he asked everyone where they got their L's , I told him stay upright in Botany which I complemented them, then he says in a way that the learning should be from hart's making it sound I went to an inferior company. Then went onto the riding , which is where it shows his teaching personality , (the training wasn't bad but the way he would do it , completely makes you lose confidence) while following the instructions he spoke rudely , which I made the mistake because I rode on the line , but the way he said it was like he was shouting and then at the end saying what do you think the line is for" and can hear and see him with a face full of disgust . But the way he shouted at me while I'm riding in the practice field

My husband bought me a ticket for Road-smart# 2 as a Christmas present. From the start all the trainers were friendly & welcoming. It was a large participant group but the way the day panned out it flowed really well. Cold drinks were endless & lunch was well catered. Training facilities were good. Knowledge, expertise, advice, feedback was consistent & the day was thoroughly enjoyable with a lot of time on the track doing different learning activities & getting constructive feedback. Thanks to all team it was a great day. I would encourage any rider to undertake the course no matter your level of experience.Angie

I had never been on a motorcycle before but the patience and respect shown by instructor Steve made my learning process pleasant. He is a great teacher and our whole group was quite satisfied with his performance as an instructor. Grateful. Thanks mate. Would definitely recommend.

Had a great experience with my learnerscourse and my previsional course. Both my instructors Steven and Ian were both great instructors. They were patient which was very helpful and most of all they helped with getting my confidence and teaching me things which I would not have known.Would definitely recommend Steven or Ian. Both top blokes.

I did the pre-learners course with Stay Upright at Penrith. The course is a great initiative and was well executed by the team at Stay Upright. Instructors are knowledgeable, friendly and patient. The pre-learners is a mix of verbal instruction, followed by exercises on the bike. The delivery of the course was staged very well, so that skills are introduced and practiced incrementally. It had been 20 years since I last rode a bike, but the way the course was delivered was perfect for getting back on a bike and building up the skills and confidence. The only negative which is very small, the helmet and gloves I loaned for the course could have done with a wash, they smelt a bit - it didn't bother me much but if that stuff bothers you then probably would be best if you bring your own helmets and gloves. Otherwise, it was a perfect experience and I'll be heading back for all future training and tests.

Just completed the P Course and MOST Test with Robert. He was an exceptional instructer/teacher. He has a high level of expertise and was very engaging with his students. He instilled confidence in my riding abilities and also taught additional skills. Would definetely recommend Stay Upright to all!

Great experience, patient instructor. Id never ridden before, and I'm an older participant so slower to pick things up. Zoran at Penrith was amazing at guiding and reassuring me when i needed it, and letting me work it out myself when appropriate. All the class agreed what a fun and informative instructor he was. Humor and personality goes a long way in being a good teacher. Couldn't have asked for a better instructor. Thanks
