Discovery Parks - Broome

Will be 5 star once renovations completed. Amazing views, fab pool area and great ablution / laundry blocks. Worth a stay

Location Location pity about the rest of the park overpriced $70 a night yes we can see the facilities are being upgraded however the older ones a decent clean especially on shower heads would help. Someone is signing off the cleaning, the soap trays caked in salts tell another story.Yes we understand it’s peak season.If you’re going to send 26 text messages and after 4pm is considered late check in when you can’t check in prior to 2pm. Interesting since most parks allow 11.30am check in. This park leaves a lot to be desired and location isn’t enough.

We arrived and we were told we would have to wait until 2pm to checkin, for a caravan site unless we are Discovery members. I found the lady we spoke with quite rude. Since being here we noticed caravans coming in at 12:30pm. Apart from that the park has a lot to offer. Apparently there was been a number of new managers over the last few years. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

Do not recommend staying at this park!Arrived after the 2pm check in to get told our spot. The staff tried putting us in 2 spots that was already taken .. ended up giving us another spot.2nd night staying at 8:30pm a sewerage pipe bursts on our site. Knowing this isn’t the parks fault, but just got told to pack up and move elsewhere.No compensation for a large issue.Park has low security, no gates and full lights. Outsiders can easily access the park.Most amenities are being updated so there are construction sites all over the park. No note of this online when booking.We also stayed 2 nights at Cable Beach caravan park and would recommend people to stay here! Staff amazing and accommodating, much more security and amenities.

Little or no security, lighting or Cctv.We found the staff very friendly and helpful but despite the park being in a great position it is frequented almost every night by thieves who roam around the park unchecked.The park charges premium pricing but facilities on the town beach side are portable rubbish. No camp kitchen and the internet did not work once In our area. Felt like we we ripped off for what we paid per night. $70plus per night. This industry needs to be regulated...There is no proper lighting to the park particularly at the town beach end which is a major security issue.I felt like the park allows theft to go on by the locals unchecked.We had an E Scooter stolen from our Annex and had regular visitors an night to our corner.Even during the day there are small groups of locals walking through the park mostly un challenged by management or local law enforcement.If you want a secure park this is not the one for you..Stay somewhere else.

Confirmed ahead of time that we would like our site to have access to wifi. Our site has no wifi or tv reception. When I rang straight away to advise them they said oh yes that is a known issue there. Not good enough when you are paying $85 a night for a site.

What a surprise gem this park is ! Originally we’d been hoping to book along Cable Beach but we are so glad we found this Discovery Park . The location is amazing right on Roebuck Bay with walking distance to everything. We were lucky enough to be there during Staircase to The Moon and the caravan park gave us the best view of this natural phenomenon.The park is undergoing a huge renovation and we loved the lush grassed site and the brand new toilet/shower block.The managers Chris & Margaret are fantastic… with a warm welcome, great advice and nothing too much trouble.Our only regret is to not being there long enough to use the new pool area ( still under construction).We will definitely be back.

Stayed there for two nights in a tent. Grass was green and soft, the pool and kitchen was nice. They do a massive renovation the moment, so this place is gonna be amazing!Toilets and bathroom was clean.Staff was awesome and very helpful. Highly recommend this place!
