Coral Sea Vista Apartments

Our family felt very comfortable staying here, plenty of room, great location, fantastic views Scott and Jo were very welcoming and accommodating! Will definitely be back!

Staying at the coral sea vista was a good experience. The airport transport (which took roughly and hour and a half dropped my off directly outside the hotel. There’s a very steep hill you need to walk up in order to get to the front desk, which is quite tough if you have heavy baggage. It was a fast and easy check it, however, with my room being on the top floor and there being no elevators, it was quite a struggle to get to the room with my luggage. The room was quite large. With 2 other corridors (the doors at the end were all locked) and a spaciest bathroom and shower. The bedroom was great, with a ceiling fan and a strong air con keeping the room cool in the 30°C heat. The hotel is close to bus stops which offer often services to and from the town as well as the local airport. (Just be aware the buses do not accept card, cash only!)Overall a great stay.

DIRTY, MONEY HUNGRY, ABUSIVE MANAGEMENT AND BED BUGS / FLEAS.My stay can only be described as horrific. Upon arrival, Scott, the manager, assisted us with our bags which was the ONLY assistance we received the entire stay. Once we entered the room we found a filthy shower which we left given the budget style accomodation we had booked, which is exactly what we received . During the stay we begun experiencing symptoms and signs of BEDBUG bites which we got confirmed by THREE medical professionals. We asked to change rooms or have the beds cleaned which we were told cannot be arranged as Scott had reservations that night, he laughed at us and attacked us for calling his apartment ‘dirty’ which it most certainly was. The following morning after having to sleep in infested sheets again we were told NOTHING could be done unless we wanted services to come out and clean the apartment which we WOULD PAY FOR. No offer of a new room, no clean sheets, no compensation. We were LAUGHED at when showing photos and evidence and degraded for being young females, which was stated multiple times through the use of “young lady”.Along with this, we were verbally harassed by phone and in Person, yelled at and threatened to be kicked out as we had a friend visit us at the apartments. He demanded we pay an extra fee of $60 as Scott’s opinion was that we were scamming him for having a visitor. He threaten to go through our stuff and have it remove it whilst we were on a day trip. He walked away at any concern we raised and stated he does not have time for discussion. We had no choice but to pay the fee or authorise were getting involved and we did not have enough time prior to our car leaving. We were harassed multiple times with this old man screaming at us through the phone and proceeding to attempt to ruin our entire trip. This place is dirty, has beg bugs and is run by a horrific, degrading, unaccommodating old man who treats young women with zero respect and cannot even attend to small concerns. We were scared for our safety, had girls shaking and crying and were given ZERO compensation and left $60 out of pocket with bites all over our body. I am horrified at this experience and honestly it ruined my entire stay as we were concerned for the safety of our items.WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE, especially young females. I can guarantee if we were not young or female this would have been rectified. He gave us no time of day to speak, or listen to our concerns or even suggest a solution or compensation. There were spare rooms available online as we attempted to book and available was evidently there. We saw two other people our entire stay, rooms were available but we were forced to stay in an infested apartment. Absolutely Horrific.

This resort we stayed in was fantastic!! Our view was awesome. Absolute breathtaking. A convenient location just a short walk from town. The pool and spa were so lovely. With welcoming and friendly staff. What more could you ask for ! We will be back. Already miss it.

Decent views although You have to look over the car park next door in order to see the marina. Room was clean and spacious, however air con only available in the bedroom. This is not a problem unless you will spend time cooking or like a cold bathroom. My key was left out for me for a late arrival and other than that I did not see the owners except for one time in a 3 day stay. Would caution there is a steep hill to get up and an even steeper driveway. Bed was a bit hard but otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Good location for the marina. Away from the noisy part of town. Magnificent views from the balconies. Some noise transfer from balconies. Small kitchen no stove or hotplates, small bar fridge, microwave oven, electric frypan, toaster, kettle. No elevator, steep driveway. Clean enough. Fridge a bit smelly. Art Deco style. You will love the circular shower.

The room was as expected for the price we paid. The beds were hard. The Air con was great, and the appliances were in good working order and came to good use. Good location, however, the steep hill was a hike. If you are booking day cruises from the port of Airlie it's only a 5-minute walk.There is a lot of noise from neighbours; windows/walls do not block out noise very well. Could also hear footsteps from rooms above.The owners were nice and welcoming. We were here for 9 nights and they offered to change sheets 1/2 way through the stay. However, they only provided 2 toilet paper rolls for the stay (self-contained apartments).

I visited this apartment while my friends were staying here and the management was absolutely horrendous. Scott threatened the girls accusing them of scamming with absolutely no proof just a hunch. He threatened to kick them out, call authorities and throw their luggage out of the apartment while they were out. There were very obvious bed bug / flee bites on their bodies which was confirmed from professionals and horrible Scott laughed in their faces and did nothing to assist such as offer new bedding, get the apartment cleaned or switch rooms as Scott had a reservation to attend to. They had to then proceed to sleep in such bed bugs another two nights if they didn’t want to call exterminators themselves out of pocket. He walked away from conflict when concerns were addressed and demanded I paid 60 dollars for visiting. Due to avoiding the authorities getting involved I had to pay out of pocket despite being on a budget trip. The shower was disgusting and there were small bugs everywhere. Scott was a disgusting host degrading these girls calling them and me young lady despite us being in our mid twenties.

We really enjoyed our stay. Friendly helpful host, clean room, beautiful view, short distance from the marina. They have done some minor renovations like new fan and a/c which makes all the difference too. I would stay here again! The bed was rather hard, but you can't please everyone with beds, not the worst bed I've stayed in.Caution- The driveway is pretty steep, so just take care if you aren't in a 4wd/awd.
