Friendly owners, good prices, great atmosphere! A real old style movie theatre feeling but with modern audio and visual technology. Excellent prices for the movie and the snack prices are not over inflated. A very affordable outing.

If you are ever on the Tablelands, make it a point to go here. They have always done a fantastic job and it's really important to support this beautiful piece of history. Always friendly, reasonably priced and I am a major fan of the old canvas sling seats! Take a couple of pillows and a blanket, make yourself a cosy little nest for a movie or three.

Great small town theatre but with quality image and sound. Love the slouch chairs and amazing value for money. If I lived in Cairns I would still travel up for this.

We had so much fun visiting this old world theatre! The staff were friendly. I just wish there were more of the old time canvas seats... they are super comfortable so filled quickly.

Majestic Theatre Malanda
The Majestic Theatre is a fantastic venue. It is clean, comfortable (albeit no air-conditioning or plush seats), affordable ($10 for adult movie tickets) and screening movies on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, the venue only maintains one cinema so there is no capacity to broadcast many popular movie releases.

Very reasonably priced for both tickets and snack food. However, the old canvas sling chairs are quite uncomfortable, would love to see some new comfy seats go in.

Loved the classic old seating and very modern high-tech digital film projection equipment. Truly a memorable experience.
