Other big names we spoke to were all concerned about up front deposits and prices were very unreasonable in comparison.

Having accepted a recommendation to employ Selwyn Allen Funerals to farewell my beloved husband, I found Geoff especially, and Adrian, have proved very pleasant, compassionate, efficient, particularly helpful with photos, music, flower arrangements, refreshments, and accommodating with everything to do with the organisation of the occasion. Their fees are very reasonable. You won't do any better than engaging this excellent firm for funerals.

Both Geoff and Adrian were so kind and helpful in assisting us with our mothers passing. Great communication through the process and Adrian was extremely helpful in following up on a delay in receipt of the death certificate. I actually picked this name at random, in the hope of getting some small urns for my Dads ashes and was amazed at every aspect of the service, support and compassion I received from Geoff. Not only did he match up my Mum's urn, but continued the kindness by dealing with Dads ashes for me, after what was an extremely upsetting event. I had also experienced the most disgusting behaviour from the owner of another company but it wasn't until much later that Geoff was fully aware of this. So that incredibly high standard is obviously there, regardless. Geoff and his Father are a rare find these dsys. A couple of genuine and very kind souls right there. Thank you again.

My family recently suffered the loss of a member and I was faced with the task of arranging associated requirements for my Aunt. I contacted a number of Funeral Directors in Melbourne, and I was a little perplexed at the indifference of some of the service providers I spoke with, until the last on the list, which was Selwyn Allen. My call to them was answered by Adrian Wilson and my initial opinion was that Adrian was miles above his fellow service providers. Adrian's calm, knowledgeable and empathetic explanation of what was required and how Selwyn Allen would proceed on our behalf, made the decision to select Selwyn Allen an easy and problem free choice. Everything subsequent to the contact with Adrian has gone as first explained and I would like to take the opportunity to thank Adrian and Selwyn Allen on behalf of my family.
