Great lookout over Tenterfield, only 10km off the main road. Has an undercover picnic area with toilets.

Mount Mackenzie Lookout
A quick and easy drive on Tourist Drive No9, awesome views and great information on the Tourist Panorama Board. Bitumen most of the way up and down on the southern entrance to Tourist Drive 9. If you take the northern entrance there is about 9kms of Dirt but definitely worth the extra effort.

Seemed like a nice spot. Unfortunately no view but the mist in the trees was pretty. Great little BBQ area and has a rain water tank so had a BBQ.

Mount Mackenzie Lookout
A nice lookout along the Tenterfield scenic drive. Limited parking and picnic facilities available here. The sealed road can be narrow in some places. If one has an appropriate vehicle, try exploring the scenic route along the dirt road but do drive carefully and do not get lost. As per rural travel of this kind, it is recommended to travel in daylight hours.

It's a nice view. There's no walks around there though. There's also a nice BBQ with limited table space. The toilet" also lets it down..."

Nice drive to look out .~ 15 min out of Tenterfield.Limited parking space .Has BBQ facilities and toilet.

Beautiful peaceful lookout, looking over the town of Tenterfield. Worth the drive. Has bbq facilitate, toilet and plenty of seating. Well worth the visit.

Gorgeous place to capture views across Tenterfield and beyond. 15 minutes from Tenterfield the drive to the look out is beautiful. Enjoy.
