Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment for 4 nights. Very roomy, clean and comfortable for a family of 5. Made great use of the washing machine. Great bbq area by the pool. Staff friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

For the cost it’s not too bad. The old saying “you get what you paid for” rings true here. Location is good, everything is within walking distance. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and could do with an upgrade. Being tropical QLD we expected there to be dampness however the room was mouldy with mould on the pillow cases. Next time I’d pay the extra and stay somewhere more comfortable.

FALSE ADVERTISING. DO NOT STAY HERE.The photos they advertise represent only a very small number of the rooms (which we found out after checking in) and even in these slightly better rooms, the works that have been “completed” are a very poor standard. The floor boards don’t even line up with some having an inch gap between them. The balconies are very dirty and so small they can only fit one chair SIDEWAYS.The drier was broken, the toilet didn’t flush and the room was filthy! Food splats and grime left on the counter, finger and lip marks on the glasses, and bed hair on the pillows… and yet this place has the hide to put up a sign to say that you must tidy up, clean the dishes and take the rubbish out or face a $55 fine!!!We were there for activities so made it pretty hard to switch rooms or find a different hotel, especially when reception are barely there! This place is worth $60 a night, but I wouldn’t stay there even if it was that price. Gross!

The apartments here did what they needed to do. We cooked meals here and ate as opposed to eating out every night. That being said, things were close enough that we walked to get breakfast, dinner, etc. if we were feeling that. We enjoyed the pool area and used the grill there for some kebabs. The laundry room was convenient as well as long as you have dollar coins available. My partner and I stayed in one room while our friends (also a couple) stayed in another. Their room was more updated than ours and appeared better maintained. Ours had the shower handle fall off and the blankets in the closet smelled odd when we pulled them out. The flooring in ours also had a gap in certain parts and the towel rack was extremely flimsy (falling off the wall at times). Additionally, I had mixed interactions with the staff here. Joe was extremely helpful when we arrived to help us into our rooms but the staff were short with me when I asked about laundry. That said we received everything we needed to and we were pleased overall.

Apartments are perfect for a holiday and value for money and only a short walk to restaurants and pier. Rooms are not the most up to date but are well looked after and clean. Pool was very nice but a little cold.

Stayed at the Cascade Gardens for 8 nights. Very clean. Central, walking distance to all of Cairns Cities, restaurants, bars and attractions. Enjoyed a morning swim in the pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will be back when next in Cairns.

Amazing stay with everything that complemented daily needs which made it a luxury compared to staying in a hotel. The unit was clean and well laid out, having access to a kitchen and laundry made all the difference. The location is nicely settled away from loud tourist attractions, however still conveniently a short walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The pool was a lovely oasis to relax by while waiting for flight after checkout, the staff were genuinely kind and helpful upon check-in and checkout to accommodate in the best way they could. Can’t say good enough things, would not hesitate to stay again. Also the cute cat was another therapeutic treat in this lovely relaxing property!

FALSE ADVERTISING and seemingly write his own positive reviews. If you want a feel for the standard of the hotel just check out the negative reviews on Trip advisor and check out the responses, ZERO accountability, even after giving guests bed bugs. This establishment has the worst hygiene, terrible customer service and employee/owner/manager that is terribly out of touch.Don’t believe any positive review you see for this place.BED BUGS, lipstick mark on glassware, grot and grime everywhere a sad excuse for a balcony that can’t even fit a chair facing out to the view, it has to sit side ways.A hostel would be a better option.

Some rooms have clearly been done uo to a higher standard than others (e.g. we had a fairly old kitchen with no bar stools), which is a shame as there's clearly differing room quality across the site. But nevertheless it's good for the price, close to town, and has lots of activity suggestions to help plan a trip.
