Novena Palms Motel
My husband and I were in a pinch to find a hotel for an overnight layover, thanks to weather that delayed our flights. It was very difficult to find something, but Novena Palms showed availability online through a third party site. After calling them, I was told that they did not have any regular rooms available, but that they had a cabin" which is typically used for overbookings (not their regular rooms)

It was clean, bed was a bit hard for me but ok, door didnt want to close maybe warped had to pull it hard. Not many people there.They answered the ph so service was ok. But apart from that saw no one.location is good for airport but no shops around just a busy road.Bit noisey from the road but needed something for the night so we paid what they asked thought it was exspensive though for what you get compared to other places we had stayed at on our aussie road trip.

Not alot of positive feedback for this property, price was nearly 200 for a bed that was foam mattresses, linen and towels smelt and milk in fridge was out of date, nice enclosed balcony tho with only a view of a car park.

Real shame about this last minute accommodation. The cabin room I was kindly offered, was not worth the $135 per night rate because of a couple of facilities not up to standard. The customer service at the start, was so lovely, she was kind and made me feel safe. Unfortunately the state of the cabin room disappointed me unsurprisingly really. Water leaked from the shower over the bathroom, part of the shower was chipped and the window curtains sadly didnt close over the entire window leaving room to see inside which made me feel uncomfortable when changing. There were positives, but I was mostly disappointed in a lady called Michelle via email, she was abrupt and uncaring in customer service with my pretty fair complaints. Hence the review. Lost any future custom here based mainly on that. Thank you for the lady who checked me in and the fact I had a room to stay in. But it was only worth around $95 p/night as it was that's for sure.

It’s a very pleasant stay, spacious rooms and clean, very kind people. We booked a taxi to the airport but taxi never showed and the owner was so kind to drop us off, so we couldn’t miss our flight, can’t thank them enough, much appreciated. Definitely recommend to everyone

Not 4 star, poor service at check in,downstairs which we choose because of 2 heavy cases we could carry upstairs door wouldn't close properly had an elephant walking around upstairs till 1am very hot day so thought we would have a swim ,but the pool was a lovely milky colour ,,all this for $182.00 for the night

Not a 4 star hotel. Who did they pay for these reviews? Sort reviews by lowest and you'll see the honest reviews. When I arrived the room smelt like toilet. My partner arrived later and agreed with me so I went and advised reception. She apologized and came to clean the toilets and bathroom again. She advised no other available rooms that night.There was mo duvet on the bed. Just a sheet and 2 thin blankets we found in the cupboard. All bed linen was scratchy and made my allergies go off. Then the fridge defrosted all night. Meaning being woken up by the freezer every hour. It was absolute torture. I turned it off but this did nothing so had to unplug from wall and finally got peace at 3am. Then the smell began to return from the toilet. In the morning I opened the veranda door for some fresh air but greeted by neighbors cigarette smoke. There were also people arriving and leaving very loudly throughout the night. We paid for 2 nights but I asked for a refund on the second which was declined because I didn't speak up sooner about the toilet smell. It made no sense. Ended up paying a little extra elsewhere and had a proper sleep. The differences were between the places were clear. The staff were rude here. It's very clear they do not care about quality or their clients. Only money. The whole place is so old and run down. Everything from their plumbing system to their fridge. The give you a wifi password and then in small writing elsewhere say its a $10 fee per connection. It was a rough rough night. I felt unsafe and a little psychology tortured. Do yourself a favour and go anywhere else.

I also would like to tell everyone that I will be highly recommending the motel in the future.So grateful for the amazing room I stayed in and the staff going above and beyond to make my stay a positive one.So relaxing to come home (motel room) after a stressful day at work without any issues.Rating I will give you in future is 10 out of 10.

Company paid 179/night. Very poor for price charged. Not serviced whilst here for 3 days. Novena palms branded toilet paper would work as sandpaper as well.Grounds and gardens in poor state. Dilapidated construction huts behind reception (this is the first thing you see after entering). Site access control system not functional. Access card fell out of key holder. Have to insert room key for electricity. No room service other than call take aways.Room large and spacious, furniture okay. Nice balcony. Cleanliness okay. Nowhere to pack away crockery and cutlery given cupboards below locked. Soap dispensers only with cheap and hard" products inside. Wifi intermittent. View of school carpark."
