Ty the manager is a legend. As we're looking for a rental property he told us we could use him as a referee. He gave us a brilliant deal for our cabin and even hleped me regarding work opportunities. Showers are clean. Small selection of free rental dvds.

Older style village but the facilities are top notch. Very clean modern ablutions block, laundry is well equipped too. Onsite sites, big cabins, donga style cabins, camp sites powered and unpowered, campers kitchen with a large grassy area. Pool and tennis court

Our family is staying one night (driving from Coffs Harbour to Canberra) so we looked for a place on a highway. We made a booking over the phone for a powered site (caravan). Amenities are clean. The place is quiet & mainly set up for permanent sites/cabins. However, we are surrounded by SOOOOO MANY mosquitoes & bitey insects it's impossible to open the door. We got bitten all over. :( If you are traveling with young children or the elderly, I would avoid this caravan park.

Price ($33 for powered site, 2A) is acceptable. Amenities are clean. However, it is the first and only caravan park I've ever stayed that out of ANY cooking facility! Even no sink for dish washing!

Cabin is clean and in good order. The park is right by a loud main road though (Sydney to Brisbane freight traffic rumbles through), and the pool wasn't open when we visited due to a broken pump. No communal BBQ facilities either, or play parks for the kids - it's pretty basic all round, and maybe better suited to people needing somewhere cheap near Newcastle for the medium term rather than families on holiday. Friendly service.

I visited this development today, a caravan park turned over 50’s lifestyle village. To be frank, I was shocked. On the hill overlooking the new development we’re the remains of a shoddy caravan park, shabby occupied remnant dwellings in situ. There is one street of new dwellings crowded in with the eaves of each home almost abutting and lots of building in progress. The noise and upheaval of this must be trying for those living in the village.Tomago? Don’t believe the pictures and blurb either on real estate sites or the Aspen group web site. It’s bare, empty, in the middle of nothing, backing onto a swamp and the area is industrial. There is simply nothing positive to say except that you will end up with a pokey new home, but on a narrow road wide enough only to accomodate one vehicle at a time, if two vehicles someone will be reversing.Yes, there’s a pool, tennis court and bbq area, all of which are situated virtually on a major high traffic and heavy vehicle road.Your hard earned dollars and dreams of peaceful retirement can do much better than Sweetwater Grove.Oh, if you are waiting for a real estate agent to show you around forget it, he has zero interest in selling you a home in this village and after seeing it with my own eyes I can see why.

Management was a the biggest let down , got given 4 different rooms they claimed to be “ours” , had no recollection of our booking and the most they could offer was a refund after a 8hr drive leaving us with nowhere to go , the front desk operator was not empathetic what so ever and seemed to be more interested in getting us out of the room than helping us , had to buy bed sheets and pillows to make Bed on couch and had no record of what rooms have been allocated and filled . Overall the most stressful situation regarding accomodation in my life . Only help was the night shift worker who was extremely empathetic and tried to offer helpful solutions , management needs a serious look at .

If I could give 0 stars I would. We had booked a cabin to stay in for the night, got the keys and went to our cabin, only to find that the beds were unmade and someone else had been living there. Unmade beds, laundry everywhere and a gross kitchen. The reception supposedly had no clue and no other cabins available. We are left without accomodation and far from home. No apology was given and no responsibly was taken. It seems as though this park just doesn’t care about the wellbeing of visitors.

Lack of general grounds maintenance and enforcement of rules by management. Street lighting would make me feel safer at night. A lot of friendly residents is a plus.
