This place is truly amazing! I can't fault a single thing. Nick holds a wealth of knowledge and shares every little bit of with you throughout the day, don't let his laid back demeanour and glorious mullet fool you, this guy is a genius with all things blacksmith-ing.If you're thinking about doing this, don't think, do it! Had an absolute blast doing a blade course. I highly recommend doing one of their courses. Shane and Nick both have excellent knowledge and are great teachers. Having no experience in making a blade I think the knife turned out awesome. Thanks guys.

my wife and i participated in one of Savage custom knives knife making courses. we enjoyed every minute!!. neither of us had every done a course like this and at first we were a bit iffy because we had little skill in knife making. but Shane was very relaxed and a great teacher, he was there for every step of the process and would step in if you need help. The knifes we made would have sold at any camping/kitchen store, despite our lack of skill XD

Highly recommend! Nick (Mr Mullet) and Darko are excellent teachers. We made knives from base materials and were tutored through the entire process! I thoroughly enjoyed the entire process and will be back again! Well worth it!

I did the 2 day knife making course on the weekend with Shane.he breaks down the process into logical fun steps, the classes are small and the atmosphere is friendly and easy going. the end product is in my opinion a high quality very usable knife. I highly recommend this course. I enjoyed it so much I stayed for another , the Japanese Chef Knife course.Nick ran this course, Forging a knife from a flat bit of steel is a rewarding experience. Nick breaks down the steps in the daunting forging process and keeps the class fun. the results speak for themselves.Thanks Both of you, I will be back.Best of luck with the upcoming show.AA++++

Absolutely brilliant 2 day class making a knife I couldn't be happier with. Shane is very knowledgeable and takes the time to make sure you are comfortable to proceed with every step.I was lucky enough to be in a class with only one other person so we were able to learn so much without being pressed.I'd highly recommend this class from Savage Custom Knives for anyone who needs / deserves a very special gift.

Husband and I did the 1 day Japanese knife making class and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. The team are friendly and casual, the class has structure yet is flexible, and we were all able to go at our own pace and design something unique that we were proud of. Thanks Nick for a great day, will definitely be back!

Did the 2 day knife making class, was absolutely brilliant. Shane was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful to beginners. I highly recommend these guys to anyone wanting to learn/experience knife making or blacksmithing. Will definitely go back again and check out their other classes.
