Went for dinner with my wife. The atmosphere was great, Waitress Sharni was very professional and very attentive.The steak was great and dessert was chocholate moose. Really satisfied and pleased with the food, service and ambience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Canteena Restaurant and I have to say it was an absolutely delightful experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, with a modern and stylish decor that immediately makes you feel at home.As for the food, I must say that everything I tried was absolutely delicious. From the perfectly cooked steak to the mouth-watering seafood, each dish was prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was impeccable.The staff at Canteena were all very friendly and attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was top-notch from start to finish. They were very knowledgeable about the menu and were able to make excellent recommendations, which helped make the meal even more enjoyable.Overall, I would highly recommend Canteena Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The food, service, and ambiance were all exceptional, and I can't wait to visit again soon.

Very, very average. We were visiting Gisborne for the day and I came in for an early lunchtime with my toddler. Ordered open steak sandwich plante, and waffles with fresh cream. Steak super small/thin and overcooked. Chips very blant and not tasty. Very little bread, given there was also an egg there. Waffles were nice but the cream wasn't fresh. Tasted the ultrapasteurised tetrapak.I dealt with 3 staff. The man was nice but the woman and the younger woman were indifferent and aloof, respectively. It seemed they did not care what the customer thinks. Noone asked me how food was. Never mind. Average is the best I can give them.
