The Castle

ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR!!!The castle itself is just magnificent, from the outside to the inside, every little bit had attention to detail & to top it off the owners are just in another world respectful, friendly & accommodating. The most wonderful bnb experience we have ever had! Graeme and Ken have built the most amazing castle and have filled it with quality, fascinating pieces of history. We were surrounded by beauty everywhere we looked! The gardens have also lovingly been created - a feast for the eyes! We spent lovely moments wondering around smelling the beautiful roses and taking lots of pics! Graeme and Ken are the most wonderful hosts - such beautiful people, so warm, generous and knowledgeable! We were entertained on so many levels! We couldn’t stop smiling! We had amazing conversations with our hosts, stayed in the most beautiful room, had a fantastic breakfast and just can’t wait to come back!

Highly recommended to stay. Very private location and yet short distance to Robertson Inn etc. House and garden, so beautiful and refreshing, well maintained in and out. Entertainment, history and the delicious fresh home cooked breakfast was a hit with the kids. They spoke highly of Graeme and Ken. Thank you so much for your generous hospitality. Absolutely loved this place! Very engaging and just a bit quirky, it’s full of curious artifacts and period furniture. If Robertson has a spirit it lives here. Graham and Ken are such gracious and charming hosts, we’ll be back!

I cannot believe it has taken me this long to write this review because we had the BEST time. Graeme and Ken were the most divine, interesting hosts - entertaining us, telling us great stories and showing us around their incredible property with all their fascinating collections. The beds were so comfortable, I wanted to sleep there forever. And the breakfasts were amazing! Cannot recommend enough - go there if you want somewhere with incredible hosts and fascinating things to look at in every corner.

What a beautiful property. This place is certainly a wonderful and enlightening experience with tonnes of history based upon the furnishings they had in the the entire house. A pianola, an original record player that that is wound up to play with slate records, an original telephone, and so much more... very impressive. We got to know Graham too and he is a fantastic host and very welcoming. I will certainly recommend this to my family and friends. Very clean too. Would certainly love to come back.

Graem and Ken are the hosts of this incredible Castle in Robertson. They welcomed my friend and I who needed accommodation last minute, and proved to be the best hosts we've ever had. The Castle, which they built themselves, is absolutely stunning from the inside and outside: it has 5 pianos, and being a piano player, it was like heaven. They played music for us on the piano and their juke box. They cooked us a large, delicious breakfast. Words cant describe how hospitable they were! There were two rooms with different themes- Paris and Scotland- and we stayed in Scotland. The interior design of this house was unreal, and everything was so organized and clean. In the morning, we had a tour of their beautiful gardens. It was a truly unique experience, and we are looking forward to staying at the Castle again in the near future!

This place is an absolute feast for the eyes. Two lovely hosts to welcome you and happy to give you the tour of the house. So many beautiful things, furniture, decor and the rooms are more like a suite with 2 large beds a lounge with fire place, table and chairs robes all antiques and a beautiful bathroom.You just have to go there. It's a real gem.
