Ape Cafe
We came here as a group and had an enjoyable time sampling a good portion of their menu. Overall, the food was generally packed with flavour and visually stunning, every item on the menu is Instagram worthy. Special mention to the SOB version of beef wellington that is served between two halves of a red velvet croissant that was innovative, but I believe the steak can do with a little more seasoning. The sauteed mushrooms side was also beautifully cooked.The staff were very friendly and attentive. The environment can be a bit noisy though since it is roadside with traffic zooming past at speed but you do get a view of the beach across the road.

Brunch date. Signature eggs Benedict with squid and lobster was the highlight - the croissant was one of the best I have had. We also tried the big breakfast with mushroom. Both were delicious. The Cafe is right next to the main road with views into ramsgate Beach with loads of natural light. The staff were VERY friendly and I really enjoyed their hospitality. We will be back again!

Pleasant view across the road to the bay. It's a nice space and the menu has quite a few items I'd like to try that stray from the usual cafe breakfast/brunch fare. Mid priced, efficient service with friendly staff. The only negative thing being the noise from the road. But that isn't the Cafe's fault.

This place has one of the best coffees and can actually get a large mocha. The food is as great as it is presented. A good spot for breakfast/brunch with a good view. The sourdough is actually sour unlike other places. The hot chocolate was amazing as well. You can sit inside or outside and has good customer service.

The portion size is very generous and coffee is good. I came on my birthday and the staff were so nice to surprise me with a birthday song and a muffin with a candle on top! Thank you guys for making my day beautiful. Definitely recommend!

This place was great for a sunny day. You could sit inside or out. The coffee was great, one of the few places where you can get a large Mocha... yum. Haha. The omelette was the best out of what we ordered.

Blackbird is an interesting spot right on the main road, ideally located for food / drinks and then a walk along the waterfront.The ingredients of the food were definitely high quality, though the dishes themselves lacked much effort at aesthetics or presentation in my opinion. They were expensive, albeit not much different to the rest of the immediate area, but good enough that I didn't feel ripped off.The coffee was delicious, and the latte art impressive. This definitely brought up the overall rating.Some staff were friendly, but some clearly distracted. On arrival we asked for a highchair from one of the ladies behind the counter, and after 5 minutes standing around holding our baby we then asked one of the other servers and he brought it straight out. I'll give the original member of staff the benefit of the doubt that they simply misheard or misunderstood the request.Speaking of mishearing, if you choose a table outside be prepared for noise! They're the best ones for those of us with prams, as the inside is a bit tight, but you are basically sat next to a busy multilane road, so VERY noisy (obviously this is no fault of the restaurant). Inside looked lovely and well decorated so I'd like to try inside next time, albeit without a pram. They also have a bar seating area overlooking the road / water which I think would be great when dining alone.

Great food and service, our meal was ready in 5min and it was amazing.The brekkie burger is a must try and PB&J croissant was a good choice as well.Coffee was ok ( the shot was a bit sour but it's ok)

Been here twice now and its a great little cafe, service has been good, food always looks amazing like a piece of art but taste even better, flavoursome. Good selection of drinks and price is fair, would recommend to family and friends.

very friendly staff, creative dishes, woh also some standard faves like burgers and fish and chips. quite tasty. Good options for smoothies and fresh juices. Recommended.
