Alpenrose Bistro & Bar
Had a wonderful time especially the buffet breakfast. We love the croissants, crispy on the outside, soft inside. First day, bacon was a bit tough for me, the wait staff said she will tell the chef. I did tell her it's common, similar problem at the Grand Chancellor hotel in Hobart. The next morning, the Bain Maries were covered up and the bacon was better, no longer hard and chewy on the top! So they listened to their customers! Thanks for that! First night dinner was lovely too, especially the crispy Turkish bread and dips. My husband's Supreme pizza, as he said was surprisingly nice! My beef burger was good too but unfortunately I started getting a headache and tummy cramps so had to take it to our room, though I am sorry to not eat it after all, had very had tummy that night. I am not sure if it was the chunky pie at the bakery which might have wine ( I am allergic to alcohol) or something might have Worcestershire sauce which has fish sauce, which I am allergic to as well. But over all, we enjoyed our time at the bistro- staff were lovely and warm.

Good service but average food. Not priced well for what we received. My partner had the Schnitzel and said it was fine. I had the braised beef and gnocchi and was disappointed. Beef was dry and sauce wasn’t very nice. The gnocchi was alright. At 80 dollars for two mains and two entrées, I expected more.

Had a beautiful brunch with my granddad. The food was very tasty, big portions. Fish and chips had micro greens, tarts sauce .. everything looked delicious. 5The fireplace was going, it was warm and the nice and Berle music playing. Happy to recommend this place for walk in dining experience! (Not sure about catered options here)

Can't recommend this restaurant enough the food was awesome the service was great. The staff were attentive & the meals were out swiftly. Frankie our waitress was super friendly will definitely be back

Had our dinner and breakfast during our stay at the resort. The meals were amazing especially the breakfast. The breakfast was really good and has plenty of option for me. It was quiet shame that the pancake machine was out of order and the hot water from coffee machine isn't really hot for me. But still overall experience was good.

Very disappointing.. the 3 of us had salmon $36 each...Salmon was not cooked the best...Was not crispy.. asked for garlic sauce instead of hollandaise which was all good to do for us.. meal was just salmon on a bed of rice with broccolini and sauce was on salmon which usually comes out in a gravy jug...very plain.. nothing like a year ago..
