Timber & Tide - Custom Timber Work & Furniture

We got Timber & Tide to custom build a king bedframe and bedbase for us. What we got was superior craftsmanship, attention to detail and super responsiveness. Nichola and Nelson were fantastic to work with. We’re extremely happy with the result.

We had an amazing experience working with Nelson at Timber & Tide. He made 5 beds and a large dining table for us and we couldn't be happier with the professionalism showed. He was able to make high quality one of a kind beds and table just by the pictures we provided. He was very patient with all our changes and the custom pieces were made very quickly. Nichola and Nelson made the design and construction of my TV unit super easy. Nichola was fantastic with the design aspects and Nelson helped me understand the differences in the wood types and construction methods. I was able to visit Nelson's workshop and see the wood types. However, their photos online equally give an accurate picture of the different wood types and of the furniture types. In the end, my TV unit is exactly what I had initally envisaged (probably better to tell the truth) and fits perfectly in my home. I will definitely utilise the skills of Nichola and Nelson to help design my next furniture pieces. The simplicity of the process, standard of both design and construction and the pricing are excellent. But most of all, dealing with Nichola and Nelson made the process fun and I feel like a valued (human being) customer.

The dining table which Nelson custom made for us has become the centrepiece for our new home. He took the time to ensure that style, size and design were exactly right. His craftsmanship is exemplary and we were kept up to date with progress during the process. Thanks so much Nelson, we’re so glad we went with you rather than buying a mass produced piece from a furniture store.

We had Nelson custom make a dining table for us. It is absolutely beautiful and so unique. We love it and cannot fault the entire process from beginning to end in dealing with Nelson and his lovely wife Nichola. What a talent and result is in the photo below. We highly recommend Nelson if you are wanting something special made. We have just had a bespoke table completed for us by Timber and Tide.Nelson is an absolute professional, both as a craftsman and a businessman.I had been looking for years to find a table to fit the exact dimensions I wanted, able to be made in American oak and able to be placed in situ with a minimum of fuss.Nelson completed our beautiful new table exactly as agreed, when agreed and at a price that was fair and reasonable given the quality of materials and workmanship.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a bespoke piece of furniture that will last multiple lifetimes.
