Nice place right at the end of the road at Cleveland. Old building restored and updated to house the restaurant, cafe, and bar. Great view and relaxed. Wil go again another day.

We came for lunch yesterday on Good Friday with no reservations and they were happy to seat us, seeing as it wasn’t that busy given the weather.Staff were mostly polite and attentive, checking in on us regularly so full points for service. We ordered the deluxe seafood platter and a whole baked fish for lunch and unfortunately this is when things took a turn.Seafood Platter ($129)This came as a two-tier makeshift platter so while the presentation was alright, it made for some pretty awkward eating as you had to constantly reach underneath to get the dips and sauces.Grilled prawns were not fresh as the flesh was soft and squishy. Oysters were some of the smallest I’ve eaten and comparable to what you might find in a supermarket deli. As for the other seafood (crab legs, bugs, mussels and prawns), they tasted like defrosted seafood as they was little to no taste/sweetness to them.On to the fried stuff - the battered fish was okay and decent in size but got soggy very quickly and because they came served on top of a bowl with the calamari buried beneath, by the time we got to it, the calamari was all wet and soggy.Whole Baked Fish ($45)Cooked garlic butter style, it was a tad too rich for our liking as the entire fish was swimming in butter. As it was baked, we expected the flesh to be firm but it was all too soft and mushy, heavy with butter. The saving grace were the baked potatoes which were done really well.Verdict:Will I return? Yes, just not for seafood. Come for the service, ambience, drinks and other mains.

We shared 3 entrées. The chowder was a little thick but I think that is a personal preference. The flavour was tasty. The fried fish wings in red curry was our favourite. Definitely recommend. We sat out on the deck and it was a little overcast but the view was still great. The service was also outstanding and hardly even a wait when there were a few larger tables there.

Great place for a bite, if you are visiting the Cleveland Point Recreation Reserve.Chilled atmosphere, great food and fabulous view of Moreton Bay.I had the battered flathead, chips and salad. Fish was cooked to perfection, batter was light, crunchy and golden brown. Chips, crunchy and well seasoned. The salad was a nice addition to freshen up the dish. The food was generously portioned, so perfect time after the meal to walk it off while admiring the Old Cleveland Lighthouse and surrounds.

The only thing I enjoyed here was the view. We ordered three simple meals through very unwelcoming staff member and had to wait for 40 minutes, and follow up on our order ourselves. As a result we received very basic food including extremely overcooked calamari.

First time visit. Surprisingly busy for a Tuesday. We were seated away from the larger groups in the raised corner part of the decking under the gazebo. Just perfect. We had made a reservation. Service was fantastic from start to finish. Great cocktails. Alvery nice food. Very high standard of seafood as you would expect. Nice presentation. Partner ordered the Prawn and Bug cocktail for starters. It needed more sauce. Other than that, super fresh and tasty. I ordered the kingfish crudo. Some of the best I've ever had. For mains I had the Barramundi with new potatoes. Fish was perfectly cooked. Potatoes had very little flavour. Dish needed more of the tarragon butter. My partner ordered the Fish of the day special. Sole. Cooked beautifully but sadly he couldn't eat. No one's fault. He just didn't like the the strong caper taste on the fish. The staff almost insisted we let them change it but not fair to the chef or indeed the restaurant so we shared the Barramundi. The salad that came with the Sole was really good. No price given for the sole when we ordered so we got a lovely surprise when we paid the bill when we realised it was much cheaper than expected. So not too much of an expense for a wasted dish. We finished lunch with two delicious desserts. Total price $217

Ordered at the takeout service at the side. Fish was okay, but quite oily, and the chips were standard, although a very small portion compared to other venues. Service wasn't great, and didn't once receive a thank you for our order. We received our takeout after 20 minutes, which was wrong too. Wouldn't recommend unfortunately.

We really enjoyed a lunch here. The weather was perfect for enjoying the ocean views. I tried the octopus carpaccio (very unique!) and hubby had the seafood assiette for one. The mains were the highlights with a memorable sand crab lasagna and perfectly cooked battered flathead and chips. I can definitely recommend!
