Fantastic, friendly staff. Great walk to the different falls. Nice way to spend the day. Great way to get those flights of stairs in.

Very friendly staff - they'll give you advice on which walks to go on based on your age group and time you have. I'd strongly recommend coming here first to before your walks if it's your first time visiting and are unsure about the walks itself. This is also the starting point for some of the walks. There's a cafe here so you can get food and there's a public toilet here.

This is a must visit place. Between a 15 min and 180min you can experience 1 or 3 waterfalls, epic forest walks. From Little ones to the olds this place even has wheelchair access to the best waterfall on show. Stop here in the camp ground overnight or park the mountain bikes and see this on your way to Downhill adventures. Huge cafe can cater from tours or just you. Remember if it's busy be nice to the humans that inhabit and work in this area. The coffee is worth it.

an amazing new Visitor center. lots of interpretation that is relevant about the area. the ranger at the front desk when we were on duty was extremely rude and so over his life and job but the building itself was totally worth a visit.

Mt Field National Park is paradise. The walk takes in Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Lady Barren Falls and takes 2 to 3 hours depending on pace. Absolutely stunning part of Tasmania.

This is a nicely designed visitor centre to help out people going towards the Mount Field national park. It offers guidance about the hiking and walking treks. The park offers well maintained trails, going through the heart of thick forest which leads to some of the lovely waterfalls and high alps. There is a variety of wildlife, we encountered a snake in the bush near the centre which was shy enough to go the other way.

Easy walk to Russell Falls, then quite a few steps up to Horseshoe Falls. Well worth the trip after it has rained for a few days.

Beautiful walks and hikes available through Mount Field depending on your ability. Russel Falls is well worth the walk but will be busy, continuing on for the longer walk to Horseshoe Falls is well worth the effort.
