For ever the optimist, I am now not,after my dealings with Coats hire Kalgoorlie.Now call me a slow learner, but I gave this company five attempts at getting it right.The common thread being the inability to keep a booking and the inconsistent story's that followed. I had been told that mechanical issues were at fault and that they would ring me back, I had to make the return call to find out that, no it wasn't mechanical, someone was yet to return it. Each failing had its consecutive story's. the most likely of which was that if you book for the weekend ,which is a one day hire, if someone books for the weekend plus the Monday which is a three day hire you'll lose your booking even though your booking is more advanced. Why bother booking with Coats hire Kalgoorlie?In the worst case I rang them three days out to reconfirm and again the morning before and (!believe it or not!) Just before I left, only to make the one hour 20 minute round trip for a fairy story (joy!).I even pressed that I had taken a days annual leave so that I could return the excavator on the Monday, yet on failing their attitude was ho hum.I persisted for so long because In two previous towns I had dealt with Coats and found them to be professional and could not believe that they could get it so wrong so many times.Coats Hire Kalgoorlie wrong wrong wrong right to the end.

Called up to get a quote told the girl what I wanted and at the end she told me to email the branch with what i wanted and they would then reply, what happened to putting pen to paper and taking the customers details etc?Eventually got my quote but wont bother calling again as the process of getting a quote seems lengthy.

Booked cherry picker a week in advance for an installation in Kalgoorlie, drove from Perth to do the job. Arrived in the morning of the installation to be told that the cherry picker isn't ready and will be ready in 30 minutes. 3 hours later the conclusion is that the machine is destroyed" and will not be available.Out of pocket up near $1000 on account of Coates hire Kalgoorlie's failure...
