Extremely unprofessional - business owners please beware!We paid Red Herring to manage our FB ads account for 3+ years until we expanded and required an agency with more international experience. What we were not expecting was the unprofessionalism from Red Herring.First, was the unprofessional tone in the email communications after we told them we wanted to leave. Second, was the refusal to hand over our FB ad account. Third, was the demand for more than 60k to hand over our FB ad account!!!The most frustrating thing is that as a business owner you put your heart and soul into creating content, gaining consumer insights, writing copy and collecting website data to pour into your FB ads account. All whilst paying your FB ads bill every month.To then have the agency that you PAID GOOD MONEY to run your ads literally hold your FB ad account to ransom (because they did the initial set up and account settings) and demand you pay 60k+ for what is rightfully yours!It is horrific that this is the way Red Herring does business. We were not not impressed with the overall results with our AU market which consistently achieved poor results. Red Herring struggled to succeed in getting our ROAS above 1.2! There was very little strategy and forward planning provided in trying to get better results.We left, not soon enough!

Red Herring have been a fantastic company to work with. Not only did they go above and beyond, Alex also helped us out when issues arised within our business. Their professionalism went beyond our expectation and we couldn't fault them. Will HAPPILY provide RHD's number to other businesses.It seems recent reviews are negatively targeting RHD based on things that didn't go their way. Disregard anything you read from other companies stating Alex and RHD were unprofessional, I believe in this instance we can see that others are the unprofessional businesses that decide to spit the dummy and BULLY small businesses when something doesn't go their way. Making fake accounts to continue to write negative reviews and bully business isn't the way to go!

The team at Red Herring put together the best promo video for our business (Yours Truly Barbershop) that we could have asked for. They helped us get our ideas onto the screen, way better than we could have imagined. VERY HAPPY!!!

Overall, my impression of this agency was that it was average. While they were able to produce some decent content for our business, I did not feel that they went above and beyond in any way. Their content was satisfactory, but it did not stand out as exceptional.Additionally, we did not use this agency for digital marketing services as we found their prices to be too expensive for our small business. We felt that the cost outweighed the potential benefits, so we chose to go with a different provider for those services.Overall, I would say that this agency is a decent choice for content creation, but I would caution other small businesses to carefully consider their budget before deciding to use them for digital marketing services.

We decided to try out Red Herring to run some of our online ads since we were new to the internet business game. But honestly, our experience with them was pretty disappointing and I ended up giving them a lousy 1-star.I am still uncertain about what exactly they did for our business. During the onboarding process, we made it clear that we were already running our own Google Ads and provided them with the necessary login details. However, due to my lack of knowledge, I only found out three months later that Red Herring had been running their own ads alongside ours, and we were paying for both campaigns.This came as a surprise to me since our ads were still running, and no one had taken the initiative to ensure that the duplicate ads were turned off. It was disappointing that Red Herring did not take ownership of this mistake, and we ended up paying double for the same service. Given our experience, we would not recommend using this company again.
