Meat was off, packed full of blood. Bones were also off, avoid if you're in the area

Meat is expensive for what it is. Beef topside roast was a bit tough and and the steaks weren't much better. Rissoles/hamburgers and sausages were nice. It's a nice drive if you're in the area. Not worth going out of your way, your local butcher is probably cheaper and better.

Decided to try them out from the many great reviews on the Yarra Valley Noticeboard on Facebook. It was a nice drive out there and the staff were very talkative.....with other staff members. I was waiting at the counter to pay for my items while all the ladies were having a committee meeting about god knows what. One of the blokes out the back had to break them up to serve me. Was told I’d be back as they’re the best sausages within 100kms. Well, I can confirm that they certainly are not. The honey bbq smelt awesome while cooking and tasted okay but were rubbery and tuff and certainly not worth the $12.50 per kilo price tag. I had to use a steak knife to cut through them with any ease. $6 per kilo Coles snags are so much nicer than this overpriced product. I’m sure their other products are half decent but I’m not doing another 50km round trip to find out. Very disappointed, won’t be back and won’t recommend to anyone to shop here.

The meat looks fantastic, prices are very reasonable, a really lovely place and the ĺady working there was really nice. I would recommend it to anyone.

I bought the whole pig for our traditional festive and instructed them to specifically clean it but don't cut it. I was surprised they cut the head off and removed the entire belly, ribs and loin which are the most flavoursome and expensive part of the pig. When asked, she blamed abattoir for removing the parts and it is out of her control then hung up. I paid $400 dollars for a pig that is totally useless. One star is too high rating for them. Never buy from them again. If you planning to buy from them don't put any deposit. If you buy pork belly & ribs from them, enjoy it because that is the missing part of my pig.

Great quality meat. You can see exactly where it comes from. You can trust what you're eating, even if it is not muscle meat. Great customer service too. They know what they are doing and give advice on how to cook certain cuts for better results. Prices are also reasonable. Some would say cheap for the quality of meat. Overall great, I personally get everything here, and would recommend to others.

We stumbled across Yarra Valley Custom Meats when we visited the Yarra Valley on a public holiday. Delicious meats and well priced. The owners opened just for us after the store was closed. We tried a variety of meats and all were great! We will definitely be back!

Without a doubt the best meat we have ever eaten and cheaper than other high end butchers. Eye fillet, scotch fillet, porterhouse, pork and chili sausages, lamb loin chops, the flavor is incredible, clients for life, excellent.

Love that it's Australian owned & proud of it. Their meat is delicious and has a real depth of flavour that only comes with quality and happy animals. We have tried their minced beef in bulk and their chorizo sausages they have a beautiful spicy flavor and juicy. Will be back to work our way through your range. Will edit review when ever I try something new & let you know. If I could have given more than 5stars I would have.Thank you.
