Called a smaller Timber Merchant, they couldn't supply what I needed, referred me to Marshall's. So glad they did. Asked for suggestions. They gave it and I made my decision. Drove down there , got what I wanted brought to me and was slightly cheaper than the multi nationals. Thanks guys. You've won me.

The timber quality and variety is great. Up until about 3 years ago i had used Marshall's to source hardwood for several custom joinery projects. The guys on the floor are generally pretty good but the woman in the front room doesn't want to be there and it shows. Rang yesterday to see if customers will be allowed on the floor again soon when restrictions ease, and I was literally yelled at and told that customers have never been allowed in on the stock floor! Weirdest phone experience I've ever had. A simple no due to covid safety would have set me straight but this lady had me immediately on the phone to another timber yard.

Terrible service. Rang for and was given a price on decking timber. When I was price matching, as I am entitled to do, the staff member was rude and offensive. Then jacked the price up nearly 5 bucks a metre. I'll take my 10-15 grand worth of business elsewhere.

Look I'm no expert and went in there and said that thinking I might get some help to find what I wanted. The guy who first served me was pretty abrupt and rude to start with and then fobbed me off to the young guy. To the young guys credit he was pretty helpful. I have of resent tried not to go to Bunnings and support the locals. My suggestion to Marshalls is pick up your customer service because Bunnings do it heaps better! Won't be heading back and time soon.

**Edit**I had left a 5* review but having had to deal with the woman there, unfortunately now I can see why there are so many bad reviews. The guys there are helpful and nice to deal with, the woman, though, is the rudest person I think I've ever met - just awful. Will never go back.

Unhelpful service, spoke to my partner and I like we were idiots. Little to no customer service. Offered no input on material choices when questions were asked. Served by a young bloke named Sam. Safe to say we won’t be going back.

Old lady with the long hair is so rude and nasty, she really needs to be humbled. Especially when your company is the ones at fault with the order. Please get rid of her she is a really terrible human

Rude and didn't want my business. Straightforward order of 40 sleepers, I was told by a curt receptionist that someone would ring me and hung up in the same breath. 3 days later I rang back to ask when someone would ring me and I was huffed at and put through to someone, left on hold for 5 minutes then hung up on. I rang another supplier who was friendly and helpful and took my $1200 order for delivery in 2 days on the phone. Will not be going back here.
