Old Windmill Observatory: The Tower Mill
An interesting building probably with an i nteresting history however we were not able to find any information on the building and the site around the area. It is situated in a nice park.

This is a piece of history. For you who love history things must visit. This place is one of the oldest building and oldest windmill in existence in Australia. It is located in the middle of city so very easy to access. If you could make to come when it is spring you can see very nice view collaboration between old building with purple colour of jacarandas.

I'm going to say this is a must see, even if you can't visit the interior. It is just a short climb up from Bridge Street. The park below has good views over the Town. It is the oldest standing structure in Brisbane. In the gardens opposite the court house that you can cross on the way up there is a nice curtain fig and a poignant reminder of what church and state can do to children.

Part of original Brisbane convict history. Windmill was converted into a convict treadmill, located on Wickham Terrace side. Limited public access, provides a different view of Brisbane.

Old Windmill Observatory: The Tower Mill
Constructed by convicts in the late 1820s, the Old Windmill Observatory is not just Brisbane's oldest building, but also the oldest windmill in existence in Australia. While historically significant, there's little to see beyond the structure (only ranked 115th out of 385 things to do on TripAdvisor). Nonetheless, I would suggest popping by as it is a short 15-minute walk from Queen Street Mall.

A unique windmall with amazing history. It's pretty cool having this still here and been protected. Was not able to get inside at the time. However looking around it was kept very clean and the grounds were in good condition. Would be amazing if one day they can allow people the chance to go up with a fee to help with restoration.
