The bread was heavy and tasteless. Either, they have no clue how to bake a decent loaf, or they are serving bread that’s from the day before. Recommend they try the bread from places like Falco on Smith Street, Collingwood or Loafer on Scotcher Avenue, Fitzroy North, to learn what decent bread looks, smells and tastes like.

I looove Crumbs’ desserts but had never visited the shop til recently. It’s cute and quaint and had a pretty large range of sweet and savoury goods, plus coffee. If you’re stuck for what to get, the strawberry sourdough donut is amazing.

The bread nice but other items are disappointing. The jam donuts are delicious but more often than not there’s only a pea sized drop of jam in them making them a total waste of money. Also you have to get lucky with their opening hours, I’ve come many times when they should be open but are unexpectedly closed.

Got a couple of vegan donuts from here recently and they were delicious. Also very fairly priced. Thanks for the vegan menu items and not charging a vegan tax! Will most definitely be back for more pastries :)

My new fave. Vegan, organic, delish and great prices. Muffins, danishes, pies, bread, coffee. The buttery-tasting flaky danish makes me happy as does my oat-milk latte. Friendly staff doing all the right things for Covid.

Have been here a few times after a friend recommended it to me. Really nice fresh bread, delicious pastries, good coffee, and super friendly service. Nice to have a good local bakery!

Miserable. What terrible customer service from the sad sack working here. Not a smile, not a hello, not a thankyou. I should have walked out then. Explaining what the food was in the window was a chore as she mumbled the description / ingredients. I've given this place a few chances in the hope she was having a bad day, seems like this is her - rude! Union Road is a small community strip relying on local traffic for their business success, its not wonder this place is always empty. No more chances from me. Disappointing.

It’s quite clear that the baker has never eaten a real croissant, they are cake like and heavy. Similarly the doughnuts are stodgy and heavy too.

Look, the only reason I came here was because they had some palatable vegan options. The service was frequently poor and one time the fruit loaf I got had a bit of mould in it.Strange atmosphere and not exactly the most friendly place I’ve been to. Coffee was fine tho☕️ I hope the owners take on board all of the feedback in these reviews, because I do believe this place has potential
