A beautiful lake with so much bird life. First time kayaking here, but what an experience!! So much to do overall in the park and lovely shady areas for picnics with family and friends

Great Place.Off the beaten track but very well kept.Pristine nature on display with so many walking and riding paths to choose from you'll have trouble making up your mind and did I mention super fun, you don't get to see Echidnas every day.... winning.

What is nice to like about walking close to water, suitable shaded by lush vegetation, multiple walking trails suitable for all ages to enable variety each and every visit, with adequate bathroom facilities, and now complemented by Montague’s cafe and bistro. Simply paradise

I imagine this will be a very crowded park in the warmer months but on a sunny winters day my new discovery was a perfect way to spend an afternoonEnjoy the kangaroos. A walk or a bike ride amongst these scenic groundsWill definitely be back for a picnic and more of a visit

This place is awesome. There is tonnes of room to bring your umbrellas, gazebos, chairs, and tables. There are also some picnic tables available, but you have to get there early as they can't be booked. There are also BBQ facilities available. The lake is massive and is perfect for SUP and kayaks. Just be careful on weekends they have sailing boats that sail around the lake. Overall, the park is worth the visit. Unfortunately, it's not dog friendly.

Lysterfield park is a great place for a family picnic. It's so serene, with so much space around for parking/walking/camping. Go on a weekday evening, and you get to see all the Roos in their natural habitat, roaming freely!

Great place for a swim, kayak, BBQ or picnic. Picturesque with a nice sandy area, public toilets and BBQ's available, plenty of parking and some nice shady spots to sit and relax. Note: there is a no rubbish policy, with no bins available, you must take home any waste you create.
