Soma Salon

Got shampoo & conditioner, haircut and a blow dry. Have to say this is one of the best salons I have come across in Australia. All the staff was super friendly and overall service was great. The head massage was awesome!! Love my haircut. Would 100% return whenever I’m in Newcastle and can’t recommend enough.

I always feel so pampered when I visit Soma. It’s such a happy environment. As soon as you enter you are made to feel special. The staff listen to what you want and then create their magic on your hair, so when you leave, you look amazing!! Thank you Soma!

I visited Soma for the first time on 26th Oct 2022 and Johanna was absolutely amazing! She did some hair magic so effortlessly and I felt very comfortable around her. My haircut and colour turned out great! The other staff were also very attentive and kind, all around a pleasant experience in a good environment.Thanks team!

I had a trim, wash, treatment and blowdry at Soma. Professional and friendly staff, beautifully presented salon. Made to feel welcome and valued as a customer. Easy (paid) parking right out the front. Would 100% return again.

I have had so many negative hairdressing experience in recent years which has made me hate going to the hairdressers. Until I found Soma!! I have had 2 exceptional experiences, everything from the salon itself to every staff members positive and welcoming vibe. It really feels like there is something special going on inside those walls! Anna was amazing and gave me hair I truly love and exactly what I wanted. She styled it so well after which is something I’ve never been happy with until now. She was so lovely and fun to be with which all just added to the great experience. Love the beverages touch, really makes you feel like you are being pampered. Michelle is by far the best stylist I have had in many many years. My haircuts, colour, and my boys haircuts are always perfect! So happy to have found her, wouldn’t change Michelle or Soma for anything. Thanks again Michelle and team.

The girls were all super friendly, organised, professional, happy and helpful. I was never made to feel like I was waiting on anything. There was always someone checking on you, and worked really well as a team. I genuinely think it was the best salon experience I’ve had.I feel like in a lot of places they over book and end up rushing/ forgetting you/ don’t have enough staff, and that was definitely not the case here. I had such a good time 10/10.

I loved my experience! From the time I walked in I was well welcomed, I had the nicest hair wash ever! It was so good and relaxing.And then the hair cut exactly how I asked! I loved the blow dry as well, I asked a wavy style and I am very happy with the results and feeling more beautiful.I had a great time. Definitely recommend. Thank you!!
